Jeremiyah Love Resembles Ex-Cowboys Star RB, Among Others

Love was a star in college and could very well be a star in the pros as well.

5) Daniel Lasco — California

California product Daniel Lasco spent four years in college before he was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in 2016. However, after recording 32 rushing yards across two seasons, he was ultimately cut in 2019 and never returned to football.

4) Ty Chandler — North Carolina

A fifth-round selection in 2022, Ty Chandler has been filling in as a backup on the Minnesota Vikings for the last four years. While he has yet to prove himself to be a starter, he found favor in head coach Kevin O’Connell’s eyes, resulting in an extended stay in the city.

3) Pierre Strong — South Dakota State

2) Trey Benson — Florida State

Trey Benson, after being selected by the Arizona Cardinals in the third round in 2024, stuck his hand up in the team’s backfield this past season. Thanks in large part to the franchise’s injury woes, Benson played in four games, of which he started one, bagging 160 rushing yards on 29 carries, along with 13 receptions for 64 yards.

1) DeMarco Murray — Oklahoma

A Dallas Cowboys legend, DeMarco Murray spent seven years carving out a memorable career in the NFL after a dominant run at Oklahoma from 2007 to 2010. Playing under Sooners icon Bob Stoops, Murray took the country by storm, booking two 1,000-yard campaigns before heading to Dallas as a third-round pick in 2011.

He picked it up right where he left off, claiming the Cowboys’ leading role in the backfield and putting up 164 carries for 897 yards and 2 touchdowns in his rookie year. He steadily worked his way up to record three 1,000-yard seasons in his seven years in the pros.
