People’s Choice Winner Jelly Rolls Aims Dig at Dallas Cowboys During Performance at AT&T Stadium

Post Malone's concert became another platform for Cowboys jokes, as Jelly Roll mocked the team’s struggles mid-song at AT&T Stadium.

The Dallas Cowboys are once again the punchline in pop culture — this time, during a live concert in their own stadium.

The latest jab came from the music world during a Post Malone and Jelly Roll show at AT&T Stadium in Dallas on May 9. Malone, who was born in Syracuse, N.Y., but raised in Texas, treated the crowd to a homecoming vibe while rocking a Brandon Aubrey Cowboys jersey for his “Big A** Stadium Tour.” But during one song, the Cowboys became the butt of the joke.

Jelly Roll Uses the Cowboys as a Joke To Interpret Post Malone’s Lyrics

Jelly Roll is featured on “Losers,” a song off Malone’s new country album, “F-1 Trillion.” While the two performed the track live at Jerry World, Jelly Roll took his shot. Right on cue with the lyric “There ain’t never been no winners,” he pointed at Malone’s Cowboys jersey — clearly teasing the team’s decades-long title drought.

The moment had Post Malone doubling over in laughter. Fans in the crowd caught the dig, and while Jelly Roll is known for being laid back and funny, even he might not want to throw stones — he’s a Tennessee Titans fan, and they’ve never won a Super Bowl either. Maybe Malone will get his revenge if he adds a Nashville, Tenn., date to the tour.

Cowboys fans, though, may not find it so funny. Since winning their last Super Bowl in 1995, the team has constantly fallen short of expectations. The 2024 season was another letdown. Dallas finished 7-10 and missed the playoffs, with quarterback Dak Prescott sidelined for the season after a hamstring surgery in Week 9. Even before the injury, the team was 3-5.

That followed a 2023 campaign where Dallas went 12-5, grabbed the No. 2 seed in the NFC, and still got bounced early in the playoffs—this time by Jordan Love and the Packers in the Wild Card Round.

The Cowboys have become an easy target in music, movies, comedy, and more. What used to be “America’s Team” is now America’s punchline. If the Cowboys want that to change, it’s up to Brian Schottenheimer and Company to deliver wins and end the ridicule.
