Jaxson Dart Injury Update: Latest on the Giants Star After Scary Moment in Week 15 vs. Commanders

Jaxson Dart suffered another blow in Week 15 against the Washington Commanders. Here is the latest update on the Giants QB's status.

The New York Giants appear to be heading for another loss as they trail by 15 points in the fourth quarter. Giants fans might be looking for losses as they eye the chance to secure the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. But what they won’t be looking for is a Jaxson Dart injury. Dart has been effective as a runner, and he doesn’t shy away from contact. He took a shot and headed to the medical tent.

What Happened to Jaxson Dart?

Dart took a designed QB run up the middle and took a huge shot. He was banged up. This is nothing new. Dart headed to the medical tent to be evaluated.

It’s the fifth time he has gone into the medical tent for evaluation in 2025. Already missing time for a concussion once, this is not what the Giants were hoping for.

The Giants can breathe, though. Dart was fine and returned to the game. Dart has 224 passing yards with 17 completions on 30 attempts. He’s thrown for a touchdown as well as an interception. He’s also added 51 yards on the ground on seven carries. In a lost season, Dart has shown that he is the future of this franchise.

Dart ranks 16th in PFSN’s QB Impact score with a grade of 76.6. He didn’t get the chance to play with Malik Nabers after he suffered a season-ending injury early in the season before Dart became the permanent starter. With Nabers and Cam Skattebo returning and some new additions, the Giants could have a solid offense.

The Giants could have been a lot better if they could close games, but they can’t. There’s plenty of reason for optimism, though. But also fans can worry about Dart’s health as his running style finds himself in vulnerable positions. Until then, the Giants will want Dart in bubble wrap as they look ahead to next season.

The Giants have a few huge matchups up ahead, none bigger than their game against the Las Vegas Raiders. Whoever loses this game could very well end up with the top pick in the 2026 Draft. With teams needing quarterbacks, this is a lottery ticket to a king’s ransom of capital or their favorite player in the draft.
