In the summer of 2023, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce started dating pop icon Taylor Swift. Nearly three years later, the power couple tied the knot on July 3 at Madison Square Garden, with Adam Sandler officiating the star-studded ceremony.
This week, Jason Kelce highlighted another memorable detail about the celebration.

Travis used the latest episode of their “New Heights” podcast to thank everyone who attended and helped make the night so special.
“Me and Taylor are so thankful for everybody that showed up,” the Chiefs star said. “From the vows to just seeing everyone, how much fun we had throughout the entire evening and hearing that be relayed through everybody’s stories of the night. It was just so magical. I wish it could have lasted even longer than it did. It felt like it just happened in the blink of an eye.”
Then, Jason offered a funny reality check about how the celebration ended.
“They kicked us out,” he said.
In reply, Travis explained what finally brought the party to a close.
“They stopped once the drinks stopped being served. Everyone kind of just starts to, you know, mosey out.”
Kelce and Swift went to extreme lengths to keep the wedding private at Madison Square Garden, making the event even more difficult for outsiders to follow.
According to reports, guests received digital invitations carrying individual watermarks. Attendees signed strict non-disclosure agreements. The couple also banned smartphones inside the venue to limit unauthorized photos and keep the celebration away from public view.

Guests handed over their phones when they arrived, allowing security personnel to secure each device inside locked pouches for the entire event.
Outside Madison Square Garden, authorities also maintained a heavy police presence and closed surrounding roads.
During the wedding, Jason served as Travis’ best man. Swift’s brother Austin was her man of honor, while Jason and Kylie Kelce’s daughters took on flower girl duties. The couple exchanged vows in custom Christian Dior outfits.
The celebration also brought together some of the biggest stars from Hollywood and the music world.
Brad Pitt and Ines de Ramon, Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid, Emma Stone, Selena Gomez, Ed Sheeran and Cherry Seaborn, Jessica Chastain, Dakota Johnson, Tate McRae, Benson Boone, Hugh Grant and Anna Eberstein, Jason Sudeikis, Karlie Kloss and Josh Kushner, Camila Cabello, MGK, Maren Morris, Ellie Goulding, Tommy Hilfiger, and Barbara Corcoran were among those who joined the event.
Likewise, the NFL had plenty of representation at the star-studded affair.
George Kittle and his wife Claire, Matthew Stafford and his wife Kelly, Cooper Kupp, Mike and Jen Vrabel, Patrick Mahomes and his wife Brittany, Kareem Hunt, Isiah Pacheco, Tom Brady, Julian Edelman, Richard Sherman, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, Kyle Juszczyk, and Kristin Juszczyk all attended the celebration.
Now, the newlyweds face a packed schedule with the NFL season approaching quickly. Still, fans can expect plenty more of Swift around the Chiefs.
