‘Already Knows What He Wants To Do’ – Jason Kelce Opens Up on Travis Kelce’s Future in NFL After Super Bowl Loss

Travis Kelce has cemented his legacy as one of the best tight ends in NFL history. The Kansas City Chiefs icon has won everything on the gridiron that he could’ve won.

So, is it the right time for him to retire? Kelce’s elder brother, Jason, pinpoints the TE’s methodology and probable decision on retirement.

Jason Kelce Reveals His Thoughts on Brother Travis Kelce’s Potential Retirement

Travis shocked the world by suggesting that he had thoughts of walking away from the game. However, he added that he hasn’t made up his mind yet on the final decision. However, Jason, during his appearance on TNT’s “The Steam Room,” spilled the beans.

“I think Travis — I think he probably, in his heart, already knows what he wants to do,” Jason said. The former Philadelphia Eagles center further added what the siblings have discussed on the matter.

“I’m sure we will talk about it. We’ve already talked about it a little bit, and I’m sure he’s going to go through a process of figuring that out.” Jason retired last year after the Eagles suffered a historic collapse late in the season.

The 37-year-old further pointed out the difference between him and Travis in their approach to hanging up their cleats. “We’re very similar people, but we also have different ways of thinking about things,” Jason said about Travis.

“Sometimes I can way overanalyze situations, and any big decision I’m having in my life, I’ll think about the negatives and what about this or that, and I want to do too much, and my brother has this way of being like, ‘Hey man, you want to play, or you don’t want to play.’”

Travis’ teammates, including Patrick Mahomes, have suggested that the 10-time Pro Bowler shouldn’t leave the game just yet. A similar stance has also been taken by some of the legends of the game.

However, one thing is for sure: Travis will have to make up his mind sooner rather than later. The three-time Super Bowl champion will be working on a soft deadline of March 15. If Kelce decides to retire after that, it will cost the Chiefs.
