Arizona Cardinals quarterback Jacoby Brissett, who was starting in place of Kyler Murray on “Monday Night Football,” stole the spotlight away from Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott and the Cowboys en route to a 27-17 road victory.
NFL fans were simply ecstatic in watching Brissett put on a show against “America’s Team” under the national television spotlight.
What Were NFL Fans Saying About Jacoby Brissett?
One NFL fan simply put it this way: “Bro Jacoby Brissett is taking Kyler Murray’s job”.

On the night, Brissett was 21-of-31 passing for 261 yards and two touchdown passes for Arizona. In this game, in the fourth quarter, the Cardinals did not give up the lead.
Another fan happened to point out what ESPN “Monday Night Football” analyst Troy Aikman said during the telecast and added their own comments, too. The fan wrote, “Troy Aikman: ‘This Cardinals offense has looked better with Jacoby Brissett than Kyler Murray over the first five weeks of the season.’ That’s because Kyler Murray didn’t get to play this Cowboys defense in any of those 5 weeks, Troy.”

This NFL fan kept his comments quite simple while watching Brissett receive congratulations from his Cardinals teammates: “Jacoby Brissett > Kyler Murray.” However, this fan also had high praise for Cardinals tight end Trey McBride, who recorded his 10th consecutive game with five or more receptions.
He wrote, “Trey McBride continues to flourish and keep scoring touchdowns with Jacoby Brissett … Hate to say it, but Cardinals have to keep Kyler Murray benched because Brissett is distributing the ball & feeding his playmakers better”.
As for this NFL fan, a little video was added to the comments: “Kyler Murray watching Jacoby Brissett feed Harrison and McBride tonight”.

This fan is already saying that Murray should not even get his starting spot back at all. The fan wrote, “No way Murray gets his starting spot back next week with Brissett putting this show on”.
According to the PFSN NFL QB Impact metrics, Brissett is the 10th-ranked quarterback in the league with an impact score of 82.9 and grades out at a B-. But look for those numbers to get better after his efforts against the Cowboys. In comparison, Murray ranks 19th in the league with an impact score of 75.2 and is graded C.
Brissett was sacked five times in the game, but seemed to bounce back every time. Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon has to be happy with what he saw from the veteran quarterback on Monday night. Brissett has got to feel pretty good himself, too.
