The Cleveland Browns are coming off Shedeur Sanders’ best performance of his short NFL career. But they fell to the Tennessee Titans despite Sanders’ elite showing and will need to find some momentum to help them bounce back. They have a tough task in Week 15, though, facing the Chicago Bears. It hasn’t looked pretty in the first half. Zero points and a slow start from the offense, especially Quinshon Judkins, is not the recipe for success.
Quinshon Judkins’ Slow Start
Judkins is trying to produce for the Cleveland offense, but he’s had zero luck. Judkins has been a bright spot in a tough season for the Browns. The Browns need to find a way to get out of the gutter of the NFL. But even though Judkins has played well throughout 2025, it hasn’t been the case today.
Judkins had four carries for only nine yards in the first half. He had one target, too, but no catches. The Browns only trail by two possessions, so it’s certainly not over. Getting Judkins involved in the second half will be pivotal for a potential Cleveland comeback.
The Browns’ defense came up big time for Cleveland in the early stages of the first half. They forced a turnover on downs at midfield to set up the Browns with good field position. They tried to feed Judkins to help them move the ball, but once again, Judkins couldn’t get going. With a three-yard gain and a one-yard loss, Judkins and the Cleveland offense failed to make Chicago pay by only getting a field goal.

This won’t suffice, and Judkins must find a way to improve. Averaging 1.6 yards per carry will not cut it. Luckily, Dylan Sampson is out today; otherwise, it would very likely be the Sampson show for Cleveland as they search for an offensive spark.
Judkins is the 29th-ranked running back in PFSN’s RB Impact score with a grade of 75.0. It’s disappointing to watch Judkins struggle after the flashes that he’s shown throughout the season. He’s made many defenses pay with his speed and ability to run tough as well. The Bears have his number, though.
The Browns need to assemble a strong offensive team as they aim to move out of the NFL’s bottom tier for good. They’ve had some encouraging seasons by making the playoffs, but they shortly fall back down to the level of the worst teams in the NFL. Judkins is going to be one of these pieces that will be key to a Cleveland offensive resurgence, but he’s going to have to adjust to adversity with the difficulty of consistency in the NFL.
