Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Drake London has been banged up a bit, but he was trying to help the Falcons derail the Los Angeles Rams in a Monday night contest at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
London hasn’t been involved as much as both the Falcons’ offense and defense helped them get into halftime with a 21-0 lead over Los Angeles. Entering the fourth quarter, though, the Rams had come back to make it a game at 24-17.
What’s Happening With Falcons WR Drake London?
So far on Monday night, London has one catch for four yards. He’s been targeted twice by Atlanta quarterback Kirk Cousins.
The Falcons’ offense got the team on the board first as Cousins hit running back Bijan Robinson in the end zone for a short touchdown pass.

On an ensuing Rams’ drive down the field, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford was picked off, and the ball was taken back for a pick-6 touchdown. That put Atlanta up 14-0 with the Falcons’ defense making tracks against the Rams’ offensive line.
According to the PFSN NFL WR Impact metrics, London has an impact score of 82.5 and grades out to a B-. He has 63 catches for 837 yards and six touchdown catches for Atlanta this season. London averages a little more than eight yards per catch, putting the Falcons’ offense in good shape when he catches the ball.
What’s been the big story for Atlanta? Robinson. Besides that touchdown catch from Cousins, Robinson took the ball from the 3-yard line and motored downfield for a 93-yard touchdown run and put the Falcons up 21-0 late in the second quarter.
For Robinson, that was the longest touchdown run in his young NFL career. It was also the longest one he’s ever had, dating back to his playing days for the University of Texas Longhorns.
With Atlanta putting a stranglehold on the game at halftime, London will hope that he can add some more to the Falcons’ offense moving forward. Still, there is a second half to play, and the Rams are not going to lie down against a team like Atlanta at this point, and they appear to be doing just that.
Pay attention to London and see if he plays a significant role in helping the Falcons score what would be an upset win before the home fans.
