Getting ready for his third career start, Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders has all of the eyes in the world on him. It’ll be a battle of two of the top rookie QBs in the 2025 draft class as he goes head-to-head with Tennessee Titans and Cam Ward. Now, the question on everyone’s mind is whether or not Sanders’ father will be in attendance now that Colorado’s season has come to an end.
Deion Sanders Will Be In Cleveland To Watch His Son
As of 11:47 a.m., Browns insider Mary Kay Cabot wasn’t 100% if Sanders was in attendance or not. She heard rumors that he was going to be there, but couldn’t outright confirm the report. As of an hour later, she officially confirmed that Shedeur Sanders father, Deion, is at Huntington Bank Field.
This will be the first time Deion is able to watch his son, Shedeur, play in Cleveland. Making just the third start of his career, Sanders is lined up for a big day against a 1-11 Titans team. Even though the Browns have only won three games this year, Sanders led them to one of those victories.

Things didn’t go his way last week against the San Francisco 49ers, but now he has a little extra incentive to play with his father in attendance. Deion’s legacy is undeniable, and now that Colorado’s season has come to an end, he has all the time in the world to watch his son play as he tries to win over the Browns’ starting QB battle.

Sanders is currently not ranked in PFSN’s QB Impact metric. Due to his small sample size, he doesn’t qualify. That said, it comes as no surprise that he is getting yet another start instead of QB Dillon Gabriel, who had an F grade. Facing defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons will be no easy task for Sanders, but it’s sure a lot easier than being Cam Ward and having to go face-to-face with Myles Garrett.
Deion’s quote, “He’s a Sanders,” went viral after Shedeur worked his way up from QB4 to the starting job.
The status of Deshaun Watson could raise a few question marks moving forward, but it seems like Sanders will be the one to start the team’s remaining games this season. Cleveland will look to get a win over a Titans squad that has won just one game this season, and they have the advantage of playing them at home in the snow.
