Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Cooper Kupp got a chance to face his old team, the Los Angeles Rams, on Sunday in the NFC Championship Game at Lumen Field in Seattle.
Kupp, who probably wanted to come out and have the game of his life against the Rams, has been pretty quiet so far.
What’s Happening with Seahawks WR Cooper Kupp?
With more than 11 minutes left in the second quarter, the Seahawks held a 10-6 lead over the Rams.
The Seahawks’ defense has been causing trouble for Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford in the first half. On this play, Seahawks defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence got through the Rams’ offensive line for a strip sack.
Really gotta watch out for @TankLawrence. 😮💨 -10 yards on the strip-sack.

So, where’s Kupp? He’s not been targeted with a pass and, therefore, has no receptions in the game.
But there are some interesting facts about what Kupp is achieving in Sunday’s game against the Rams.
NFL+’s account on X posted, “Cooper Kupp is just the fifth NBA Finals/World Series/Super Bowl MVP all-time to face the team they won the MVP with in the “Final Four” of the playoffs … This is the first such occurrence since LeBron James faced the Miami Heat in the 2020 NBA Finals with the Lakers”.
According to the PFSN NFL WR Impact Metric, which is measured through the regular season, Kupp finished with an impact score of 73.2 and graded out to a C. In the regular season, Kupp had 47 catches for 593 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 12.6 yards per reception.
Kupp was a third-round pick out of Eastern Washington by the Rams in the 2017 NFL Draft. Kupp played his first eight seasons with the Rams, then joined Seattle this season. Through the 2025 NFL regular season, Kupp has 681 career receptions for 8,369 career yards and 59 touchdown receptions.
In Super Bowl 56, Kupp won Super Bowl MVP honors as the Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals 23-20. Stafford connected with Kupp on a late touchdown to secure the victory.
Kupp will try to get more involved in the Seahawks’ offense as the game progresses. Both teams know what’s at stake and want to get to the Super Bowl. When either team does, they will face the New England Patriots.
The Patriots, behind quarterback Drake Maye, defeated the Denver Broncos 10-7 on Sunday, winning the AFC Championship Game at Empower Field at Mile High in Denver on a cold, snowy day.
