Is CeeDee Lamb Injured? Breaking Down if the Cowboys Star Is Hurt Amid Slow Start on MNF vs. Cardinals

Dallas Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb has been pretty silent in the Dallas offense so far on Monday night. Is the veteran receiver hurt?

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is one of the most reliable targets for quarterback Dak Prescott downfield. Lamb has an ability to get open and was really trying to do so against the Arizona Cardinals on “Monday Night Football.”

Lamb has been working against a challenging Cardinals secondary, but his production has not been that good so far.

What Happened to CeeDee Lamb?

As the Cardinals-Cowboys game was at halftime, Lamb has been nearly absent in the Dallas offense.

So far, the star receiver has just two catches for 20 yards. Is he hurt? There’s no sign that Lamb is injured at this point. The Cowboys have only had four offensive series, including one that led them to the Arizona 4-yard line.

But they failed on a fourth-down effort and turned the ball back over to Arizona quarterback Jacoby Brissett and the Cardinals’ offense. Lamb will have to find a way to get active in the second half if the Cowboys are going to come back from being down 17-7 at halftime on Monday night.

Lamb, on the season, has 28 catches for 406 yards and one touchdown reception. He was a first-round draft choice (No. 17 overall) by the Cowboys in the 2020 NFL Draft. In his sixth NFL season with the Cowboys, Lamb has 524 career receptions for 6,745 yards and 39 career TD catches. His career-longest reception is a 92-yarder back in the 2023 NFL season.

According to the PFSN NFL Offense Impact metrics, the Cowboys have an 89.1 Offense Impact Score and have a grade of B+.

The Cowboys’ offense has not been too effective against the Cardinals’ defense. It didn’t help when Dallas tight end Jake Ferguson fumbled the ball over to Arizona right after being called for a holding penalty in the second quarter.

Lamb will have to get open more often in the second half against Arizona. He’s hopefully going to be able to connect with Prescott because the Cowboys have not gotten it going on offense. The only points Dallas scored were off a blocked punt that the Cowboys recovered in the end zone.

Lamb has been targeted three times in Monday night’s game. Still, his targets and reception numbers have to go up if the Cowboys are going to rally against Arizona. Lamb has to get it going or else.
