The Philadelphia Eagles’ offense has been the story of the team all season long. Whether it’s criticism for OC Kevin Patullo, A.J. Brown complaining about a lack of individual production, or ugly performances from Jalen Hurts, the Eagles’ offense has not been a dominant force. And yet again, Brown is struggling to get going despite the Eagles holding a three-possession lead over the terrible Las Vegas Raiders.
A.J. Brown’s Slow First Half
Brown has not been very active for Philadelphia in the first half, but he’s not injured. The offense is showing signs of progress with 17 first-half points. Saquon Barkley has a touchdown, and Dallas Goedert reeled in a short pass from Hurts for a score.
After back-to-back 100-yard games from Brown, he’s been shut out in the first half of Week 15. The Eagles lost those games, though, and today, they look well on their way to a drubbing of the Raiders. Getting Brown involved will be helpful to finding a rhythm, but his lack of involvement won’t play a role in the outcome of the game.
Brown is the 21st-ranked wide receiver in PFSN’s WR Impact score with a grade of 80.4. When Brown is on, he’s one of the best, but otherwise it’s been a frustrating watch.
The Eagles got the Raiders at the time when they needed them the most. Philadelphia was in a major rut and needed to have a game where they could find their groove. The Raiders are exactly that. Simply put, Las Vegas is terrible. Philadelphia is taking full advantage.

The Eagles scored on three of their four first-half drives, excluding the one-play drive right before the half, where Philadelphia was ready to run out the clock. The Eagles have already exceeded their point totals from the last two weeks.
The second half has looked no different for the Eagles. The defense forced a Kenny Pickett interception, and the offense is methodically picking apart the Las Vegas defense. Brown got on the stat sheet during their first drive of the third quarter with a 14-yard catch, which was capped by another Goedert touchdown. The question remains how involved Brown will be throughout the second half, with the result seemingly wrapped up.
The Raiders don’t score points. Their deficit is insurmountable. Even when the Eagles were winning, though, Brown found his name as a talking point expressing his frustrations in the offense. Today will likely be a different story with a dominant display of offense and a pummeling of the Raiders.
