The renowned “Hard Knocks” series, featured by HBO, is back. For the second consecutive year, a whole division will be followed throughout the remainder of the regular season and into the playoffs, rather than focusing on a single team.
Last year, it was the AFC North. Now, the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, and Washington Commanders will all be at the forefront as they battle for NFC East supremacy.
How To Watch “Hard Knocks: In Season With the NFC East”?
The series premieres tonight, Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.
Mark your calendars or set a reminder to ensure that you don’t miss an episode. New episodes will drop weekly, premiering at the same time every Tuesday throughout December and January, documenting the successes and failures of each team.
If you have cable or utilize a satellite, you can tune in live on the HBO channel. If you prefer to stream, this year’s edition of Hard Knocks will be available through the HBO Max app.
How Much is HBO Max?
Several HBO Max plans are available, depending on your budget and whether you can tolerate advertisements.
With ads: $10.99 monthly or $109.99 for the year
Standard ad-free: $18.49 monthly or $184.99 for the year
Ultimate ad-free plan: $22.99 monthly or $229.99 for the year
The most expensive plan not only eliminates advertisements, but it also allows for four simultaneous streams to run at once, as opposed to just two with the other plans. You can also stream in 4K UHD.
Disney+ and Hulu offer a bundle option that includes ads for $19.99 per month or an ad-free option for $32.99 per month.

The pendulum could be swinging within the division. The defending Super Bowl champion Eagles are far from secure at the top with their 8-4 record entering Week 14.
Current NFC East Playoff Picture
The Cowboys, who have won three consecutive games, are now sitting at 6-5-1 and two games behind first place. The Eagles, meanwhile, have lost back-to-back games, including one to the Cowboys. An offense led by quarterback Jalen Hurts has mainly been uninspiring this season for the Eagles, despite their success, igniting several in-house frustrations from some of the team’s star players.
Those frustrations stem from running back Saquon Barkley’s inability to string together an encore campaign to his record-breaking season last year, as well as wide receiver A.J. Brown’s inefficiency in gaining traction in the passing attack.

The Giants, at this point, are competing for a higher spot in this spring’s draft. Their dismal defeat at the hands of the AFC-leading New England Patriots on Monday night handed them their 11th loss of the season.
It was Jaxson Dart’s first game back under center following a concussion, but he’s the only real bright spot on the roster at the moment. Running back Cam Skattebo won’t be seen on the field until 2026 after sustaining a season-ending ankle injury, and ditto for star wideout Malik Nabers, who tore his ACL in September.
There isn’t much to write home about with the Commanders, either. They lost a nail-biter to the Denver Broncos Sunday night despite a valiant performance from No. 2 quarterback Marcus Mariota.
The hope is that Jayden Daniels will return from an elbow injury this week and reclaim his starting job against the Minnesota Vikings, but even so, his second year at the helm hasn’t gone as planned. The Commanders are fresh off an appearance in the NFC Championship Game in January.
