How Long Will CeeDee Lamb Be Out For? Latest on Cowboys Star’s Injury and Return Timeline Ahead of Week 15

CeeDee Lamb left the Cowboys' Week 14 game with a concussion. Take a look at the timeline for a potential return from his injury in Week 15.

The Dallas Cowboys squandered a massive opportunity to make up ground in the playoff race. They lost to the Lions, who are making a run for one of the playoff spots in a crowded NFC playoff picture. To make matters worse, the Philadelphia Eagles lost on Monday Night Football. The Eagles are floundering, and the opportunity to potentially steal the NFC East would have been there, but the Cowboys’ loss put the dream further out of reach.

To pile on, CeeDee Lamb left the game with a concussion in the third quarter on Thursday. Find out the latest on Lamb’s availability for Week 15.

Potential Return for CeeDee Lamb

Lamb suffered a scary concussion going up for a catch early in the third quarter of their Week 14 contest. He missed the rest of the game. Now, his status for Week 15 remains a question mark. He won’t be able to suit up unless he clears the hurdle of the concussion protocol. But there is good news. Lamb is progressing well and continues to improve.

He will be questionable for their game against the Vikings, according to Bret Bloomquist of the El Paso Times. The Cowboys will be thankful for the extra days of recovery because they played on Thursday night. These additional three days could be the difference between Lamb being cleared to play or being inactive for a massive game as Dallas looks to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Lamb had six catches for 121 yards in a little over one half of game time. The Lions certainly caught a break with Lamb missing the rest of the game. Lamb is the 15th-ranked receiver in PFSN’s WR Impact score with a grade of 82.3. George Pickens has been a revelation for the electric Dallas offense in 2025, but he couldn’t quite step up in Lamb’s absence.

The only problem is that the Cowboys couldn’t get a stop to save their lives. Jahmyr Gibbs terrorized their defense. The defense had been a problem all year until they added Logan Wilson and Quinnen Williams. Their defense had become one of the better units in football until Detroit had anything to say about it.

The Cowboys are 1.5 games behind the Eagles in the race for the NFC East title. The Eagles are seriously struggling to put together wins, and the Cowboys are getting going at the right time. Although time is running out, the Cowboys have a glimmer of hope. They will be hoping their star receiver is on the field, but they can survive with Pickens and their explosive offense. It’s not the first stretch they would be without Lamb this season.

They struggled during that time, but they look a much improved squad. Dallas isn’t out of it, and a big win this weekend will continue to apply pressure on the teams ahead of them. It won’t be easy, but a run is still possible, and Lamb could play a big part in how it turns out.
