“Two Corgis will go head-to-head in the qualifying races at seven 49ers home games throughout the regular season. The winner of each race will advance to the K9ERS Corgi Cup on January 3rd or 4th, 2026, which will take center stage during the halftime of the regular season finale against the Seattle Seahawks.”
Eight corgis will compete in the race to win the K9ERS Corgi Cup Championship. Four dogs will race in two different heats, and the two winners from each heat will advance to the finals, where they will compete for the title.

The 49ers (12-4) are set to host the Seahawks (13-3) at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara on Saturday, Jan. 3. Fans can tune in to ESPN and ABC at 8:00 PM ET to catch the action live.
