Giants WR Wan’Dale Robinson Reveals Hilarious 2-Word Nickname for Phenom Jaxson Dart

Jaxson Dart’s performance against the Eagles earned him a hilarious yet fitting nickname from a teammate, one that captures his dual-threat style.

The New York Giants have found a reason to smile. After their stunning 34-17 upset of the Philadelphia Eagles, rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart is suddenly the talk of the league. The 22-year-old captured everyone’s attention with his performance, including his teammate Wan’Dale Robinson, who had a fun little moniker that spoke volumes about Dart’s style.

What Is Wan’Dale Robinson’s Nickname For Jaxson Dart?

After the win at an electrified MetLife Stadium, Robinson revealed Dart’s new nickname, “Vanilla Vick”. It’s a tongue-in-cheek reference to former NFL superstar Michael Vick, one of the most dynamic dual-threat quarterbacks in the league’s history.

Robinson explained that seeing Dart “running around, bobbing, and weaving” across the field reminded him of Vick’s elusive flair. For him, Dark turned broken plays into highlight reels.

“He keeps every play alive, and no play is dead with him back there,” Robinson said. “I actually broke out of the route, and I felt like I was wide open (on the touchdown). I was like, ‘Where’s the ball?’ and then I saw him scrambling around and he was able to get out to the right and he saw me.”

A 35-yard touchdown to Robinson in the first quarter highlighted everything about Dart’s flair. The rookie danced away from three defenders, rolled right while backpedaling, and fired a laser to the sideline. It was the kind of improvisational brilliance that reminded Robinson of Vick’s signature chaos.

Injuries could have easily derailed New York’s offense with Malik Nabers out for the season, and Darius Slayton (hamstring) missing the Eagles game.

However, Dart and his playmaking erased any and all excuses. Ranked 33rd on PFSN’s QB Impact Metrics, he finished the night throwing for 195 yards on 17-of-25 passing with a touchdown and rushing for another score. He was all over the field, making multiple plays.

Along with him, Cam Skattebo added 98 yards and three scores on the ground. But the energy Dart brings has transformed the team. His mobility keeps defenses guessing, and his toughness has earned instant respect. He has the definite ability to wriggle out of broken lays and can even escape where there’s “no one open”, forcing the defenses to adjust.

His teammates, including Robinson, see that in real time and benefit from it. The Giants have scored touchdowns on their opening drive in all three of their starts, a feat not seen since 2009.

While “Vanilla Vick” might have started as a joke, it is quickly becoming a symbol of hope for the team. And if this nickname sticks, along with his dual-threat potential, it may just become part of the Dart lore.
