Giants are predicted to target a dynamic Ohio State WR in the 2026 NFL Draft to boost the offense alongside Jaxson Dart and Malik Nabers.

The 2026 NFL Draft is still far away, yet predictions for teams and names have been circulating. The New York Giants are currently out of playoff contention with a 2-9 record, despite showing promising signs from Jaxson Dart. But no worries as they are predicted to chase a rising wide receiver to strengthen their offense.

New York Giants Aim To Seek Help for Jaxson Dart in 2026 NFL Draft

Fans are yet to see the kind of performance from the Giants this season that gets them out of their seat. The team is struggling, and its weak offense, currently ranking 26th on PFSN’s Offense Impact, plays a significant role in their position.

The need to add some new offensive weapons to Dart’s unit seems evident. And fans are already curious which new faces could enter the squad in the 2026 NFL Draft.

There are several players in the talk, and there’s a lot of buzz about Ohio State Buckeyes WR Jeremiah Smith. But another WR from the same team, Carnell Tate, has recently been predicted to be the one the Giants could actually go for.

Carnell, with his impressive performance, has quickly risen and has become one of the most promising young wide receivers in college football, standing out as one of the top pass catchers in the nation.

Playing alongside Jeremiah Smith at Ohio State, Carnell managed to put up 52 receptions for 733 yards and four touchdowns in 2024, making it clear how important he is to the Buckeyes’ offense. And even this season of college football, he continues to contribute to his team, scoring 7 TDs so far.

Carnell Tate Could Bring New Hope for Giants

Sitting at the bottom of the NFC East with a 2-9 record, New York fans don’t have much hope left for the playoffs. The team’s next destination is Ford Field, where they are scheduled to face the Detroit Lions on Sunday, Nov. 23.

Lions will be entering the field after losing 16-9 to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 11, while the Giants will be coming in with even worse numbers. They are entering this clash with a five-game losing streak.

Today’s game is going to be a special one. The Lions will be looking to pick up a win to strengthen their position, while the Giants, on the other hand, could keep their playoff hopes alive with a victory. If they fail to seize this win, they will fall out of the playoff picture.

While mathematically the Giants are still in the playoff race, fans have already lost hope, and some of them are wondering how the team will strengthen its squad next season.

After this disastrous season, the Giants would surely consider seriously adding new faces to the team, and Tate is now popping up as one of the names they could target next year. He could be a great assist as the WR2 on the team, working as the backup for Malik Nabers.
