Eli Manning’s Son Tried To Get One by Him for Halloween

ESPN posted a clip on X from Monday Night Football’s “ManningCast,” where Eli mentioned how his son dressed up as Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart.

“Charlie’s dressing up as Jaxson Dart for Halloween,” he told Peyton on the broadcast. Amused, the Denver Broncos legend asked Eli whether it hurts that his son picked another Giants quarterback over him.

“It hurts a little bit,” Eli replied. “But he’s got the chain, which is nice. The problem is, he wants to wear it. We got it last week, and he wants to wear it to school every day. No, it’s a Halloween costume.”

“It’s just on Friday. You only get one day to wear it… I think he was trying to outsmart us. So, that was his excuse to get a chain that he could wear full-time.”

It’s understandable why Charles wants to dress up like Dart, given the hype surrounding the rookie shot-caller. He exploded onto the scene in Week 4, when the Giants hosted the LA Chargers. In his first NFL start, he toppled one of the best teams in the league 21-18.

Dart hasn’t looked back since, starting every game after he replaced Russell Wilson at the wheel. Ranked 21st in PFSN’s QB Impact metrics, he has consistently produced strong numbers while winning big games here and there.

While there’s still a lot left to be done before they can become a consistent contender in the NFC East, there’s plenty to be optimistic about. While Dart is the new, trending option, Manning would’ve been a throwback to some of the golden years in Giants history.

Manning’s era starting for the franchise is a walk down memory lane that includes two Super Bowls, numerous postseason appearances, and many more moments that are etched in Giants lore. The Giants legend went to four Pro Bowls in 16 years, as he threw for 57,023 yards, 366 touchdowns, and 244 interceptions.

Whether young Charles went with Dart or his father, both would’ve brought a unique sentiment to the Halloween festivities.

Meanwhile, the Giants, currently the 28th-ranked offense in PFSN’s NFL Impact metrics, will face the San Francisco 49ers in Week 9.
