While college football has an immense and strong following across the nation, the stretch run of the season is usually when NFL fans begin watching and analyzing potential NFL Draft candidates for their favorite teams. As a result, recent weeks have seen names like Carson Beck, Shedeur Sanders, and Cam Ward, trending and circulating, especially for NFL fans whose franchises need a long-term answer at quarterback.
With the New York Giants recently moving on from Daniel Jones, obviously, fans had a lot to say when evaluating which prospect might eventually take his place.
What Did Giants Fans Have To Say About This Week’s Prospects?
In response to a post by New York sports commentator Alex Wilson highlighting how Ward and his Miami Hurricanes were in action at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2024, an individual online noted that there were other key college QBs on the schedule.
“Carson Beck at 12:45 [p.m.], Shedeur Sanders at 3:30 [p.m.], and Jalen Milroe at 7:30 [p.m.].”
You also have Carson Beck at 12:45, Shedeur Sanders at 3:30, and Jalen Milroe at 7:30.

However, this comment was quickly rebuked by a Giants fan who detailed their opinion of the Georgia Bulldogs product.
“We don’t want Carson Beck,” the fan wrote.
We don’t want Carson Beck

But don’t worry, Beck wasn’t the only QB that Giants fans were watching. Another added that they were more interested in Sanders.
We want Sanders nobody cares about that other guy

The debate continues with fans promising that Beck would eventually be “500x better than Sanders.”
However, the general sentiment for Giants fans was that they were excited for the future, regardless of which QB was selected.
And Shaduer plays at 3:30

Who Is the Future in New York?
As is clear, Giants fans are clearly undecided on who they want the team to draft in 2025. The discourse is good as it details how strong this year’s draft class is playing out to be. According to Pro Football Network’s most recent 2025 NFL Mock Draft, both Colorado’s Sanders and Miami’s Ward were projected to be drafted ahead of Beck.
In our mock, New York actually went with Milroe as the fifth overall pick.
“The Giants released QB Jones, thus the succession plan is paramount for this team moving forward. As mentioned with Ward, Milroe is far from a perfect prospect at the QB position, but he’s shown significant signs of development over his time as a starter at the University of Alabama, and he fits the mold of what modern-day NFL QBs need to be.
“He’s electric with the ball in his hands as a runner, he has a strong enough arm to send the ball all over the field, and he has enough improvisation ability to consistently keep an NFL defense on its toes. For a team that desperately needs a reason to be hopeful after several seasons of mediocrity, Milroe’s big-time play ability would provide enough excitement while the rest of his game develops.”
When it comes to Beck specifically, PFN highlighted some of the positives and negatives the QB might have in the eyes of an organization looking to bring in a signal caller. “Without elite athleticism and creation capacity, Beck might not completely scheme diverse or an elevating force, but he can be the level of QB who flourishes and produces at a high clip in the right system.”
Who knows which QB the Giants will take in the 2025 NFL Draft? However, one thing is sure, they will likely have plenty of options when they are on the clock.
