Giants Announce Major Update on Jaxson Dart’s Injury

Jaxson Dart has missed the past two games for the New York Giants since suffering a concussion in Week 10 against the Chicago Bears.

It has been a brutal year for the New York Giants. The team has already been eliminated from postseason contention with six weeks remaining, their head coach was fired weeks ago, and injuries have ended the seasons of key playmakers Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo.

However, Monday night’s matchup against the New England Patriots offers a rare spark of optimism in a lost season. The rookie quarterback who provided the only real excitement of the 2025 campaign is finally ready to return.

Will Jaxson Dart Be Ready for Monday Night Against the Patriots?

Jaxson Dart has missed the past two games since suffering a concussion in Week 10 against the Chicago Bears. While the rookie practiced fully on Wednesday, his status remained technically uncertain until he cleared the final steps of the league’s protocol. That official word came during the team’s off day on Thursday, when positive news confirmed he would be back under center.

This update is a massive boost for an offense that has struggled to find consistency. In just seven games this season, he has accounted for 17 total touchdowns while leading the franchise to its only two wins of the year.

The rookie managed to produce even after the Giants lost Nabers earlier in the schedule. He subsequently formed one of the league’s most entertaining duos with Skattebo before the running back also suffered a season-ending injury.

Despite the chaos around him, Dart has been impressive during his limited time as a starter. According to our PFSN QB Impact Metric, he has been the No. 12 quarterback this season with a 79.6 Impact Score. This metric places the first-round pick ahead of established veteran passers such as Justin Herbert, Jared Goff, and Lamar Jackson.

His production is even more notable considering he did not start the 2025 season. The team signed quarterbacks Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston in free agency to compete with their rookie draft pick. Wilson initially won the job and started the first three games, but he lost his place in the lineup quickly.

While Dart sat out with his concussion over the past two weeks, Winston took over the offense. The veteran had engaging performances, particularly during a tight 34-27 overtime loss to the Detroit Lions, but the team failed to secure a victory.

Now, the Giants turn back to their rookie to see if he can salvage a few wins from the final stretch of 2025.
