Alabama WR Germie Bernard Predicted To Get Selected by Emerging AFC Team in 2026 NFL Draft

Germie Bernard is predicted to land with an AFC team in a recent 2026 NFL Mock Draft after his breakout season at Alabama.

Germie Bernard has spent the past two college football seasons with the Alabama Crimson Tide, after previously playing a year each for the Washington Huskies and Michigan State Spartans. His final campaign was his most productive as he prepares to enter the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft. Here’s where PFSN’s James Fregoza predicts he will land this year.

Where Will Germie Bernard Get Picked in the 2026 NFL Draft?

Fregoza recently released his updated mock draft as the season begins to wind down. Bernard is one of the top wide receiver prospects this year and is likely to land with a team looking to strengthen their depth chart at the position. He described why the Cleveland Browns would be an ideal landing spot as they continue to rebuild and hope to show improvements next season.

“Germie Bernard doesn’t necessarily pop off the film for his physical traits, but he’s one of the most reliable pass catchers in the class, and that’s exactly what the doctor ordered for the Browns’ aerial assault,” explained Fregoza.

The Browns have several weaknesses on their roster, but wide receiver is one of their biggest concerns. Whether it be Shedeur Sanders or anyone else as their starting quarterback for next season, they would significantly benefit from improved offensive weapons. They are already relatively solid at running back and tight end, so wide receivers should be one of their primary focuses in the draft.

Fregoza predicts that the Brown will select Bernard with the 38th overall pick in the second round of the 2026 NFL Draft in an effort to add value to a position where they severely lack it. He has increased his output in each of his collegiate seasons so far, with 2025 being his best performance by almost every measure. He set new career-highs with 863 scrimmage yards and nine total touchdowns as a primary target for standout quarterback prospect Ty Simpson.

The Browns shockingly don’t have a single wide receiver ranked higher than 80th in PFSN’s Impact Rankings for this season among all players in the position. Cedric Tillman is their highest-ranked option at 80th, with Isaiah Bond (86th) and Jerry Jeudy (91st) even worse. Some of this may be due to their struggling quarterback situation, but better performances from their wide receivers would also help address the issue.

Bernard is surely an option for them to address the problem and support whoever their starting quarterback is for next season. Sanders is currently their starter for the rest of 2025, but it’s yet to be seen if he locks down the long-term job amid his inconsistencies.
