During the Week 13 game against the Kansas City Chiefs, Dallas Cowboys wide receiver George Pickens had to deal not only with the Chiefs’ defense but also with the blazing sun that made it hard to locate the ball. Following the game, the WR released a message about the home stadium, one that the owner, Jerry Jones, should consider.

George Pickens Believes Curtains Could Be Helpful at AT&T Stadium
The Chiefs and Cowboys collided in their Thanksgiving game at AT&T Stadium, a venue that has earned a reputation for making things more challenging for players. This time, it happened to Pickens, who was blinded by the glaring sun and couldn’t locate the ball that fell right in front of him in the second quarter.
Fans and players have long complained about the sun shining through the huge glass doors at the west end of AT&T Stadium. However, owner Jones has continued to dismiss those concerns.
While most NFL stadiums are built with a north-south alignment, the Cowboys’ home stadium has an unusual east-west alignment from end zone to end zone. This makes afternoon games challenging.
Many suggest that curtains could help solve the issue, but Jones has repeatedly rejected the idea. When the star WR Pickens was asked about adding curtains after the game, he shared his honest opinion, saying it would definitely help.
“Yeah, I mean, definitely. But that’s up to Jerry. But definitely curtains would help,” Pickens said. “I really couldn’t see the ball. It was the sun. Like I said, I always bounce back. Kind of like CeeDee bounced back from last week to this week. All you can do is just one foot forward, keep getting better.”

Pickens has been performing exceptionally well this season, currently ranking No. 3 on PFSN’s WR Impact with a 94.3 score. But on Thursday, he didn’t seem to have good coordination with QB Dak Prescott because the sun blinded him when Prescott threw his way.
He had 88 yards on six catches against the Chiefs, which feels underwhelming considering he came from a 146-yard performance in Week 12 against the Philadelphia Eagles.
This was a close game, but the Cowboys managed to pull off a crucial 31-28 win over the Chiefs, keeping their playoff hopes alive. Now the team prepares for their next challenge as they are scheduled to travel to Ford Field to face the Detroit Lions in Week 14 on Nov. 4.
Fans are hopeful that when the Cowboys return to AT&T Stadium for another afternoon game, the management will finally take steps to address the long-standing sun issue.
