‘I’m Terrified To Say The Wrong Thing’ — George Kittle Makes Hilarious Confession About Hosting Podcast With Wife Claire

George Kittle shared a hilarious reason why hosting a podcast with wife Claire is more challenging than working with a brother, like Travis and Jason Kelce do.

George Kittle has been one of the NFL’s most successful tight ends since entering the league as a fifth-round pick in 2017, earning seven Pro Bowl selections and two First-Team All-Pro honors. Off the field, he has enjoyed similar success, building a happy family with his wife, Claire, while also launching a successful podcast together.

But things are not always smooth sailing. During an appearance on the “New Heights” podcast, hosted by brothers Travis and Jason Kelce, the San Francisco 49ers star made a hilarious confession, admitting that hosting a show with your spouse is far more difficult than doing one with a brother or a friend.

George Kittle Jokes Hosting a Podcast With Wife Claire Is Terrifying

Although Kittle and Claire tied the knot in 2019, they did not launch their biweekly podcast, The Kittle Things, until September 2025. But the show has already attracted more than 60,000 subscribers.

Like New Heights, the podcast features unfiltered conversations with athletes and celebrities covering sports, pop culture, and lighthearted topics such as LEGO, Pokémon, and Star Wars.

During Kittle’s appearance on the latest episode of the New Heights, Travis asked, “As a fellow NFL podcaster, which is harder: hosting a podcast with your brother or your wife?”

Kittle admitted that doing a show with his spouse is much harder, explaining that he is constantly worried about saying the wrong thing.

“I think with your brother, because you guys will just talk (expletive) to each other,” he said. “Like, I will not talk (expletive) to my wife. She will whoop my (expletive).”

“Yeah, so I’m terrified to say the wrong thing, and then once the camera gets off, I’m hiding,” he added.

The moment became even funnier when Jason joined in.

“Claire will beat the (expletive) out of you. I know all about that,” the former Philadelphia Eagles center joked.

Kittle quickly fired back with a roast aimed at Jason and his outspoken wife, Kylie Kelce, who hosts her own podcast, Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce.

“Oh yeah, dude, your wife beats your (expletive) all the time, Jason. I know that,” he replied, sending the group into fits of laughter.

The trio is now preparing for a major celebration, with Travis expected to marry his fiancée, global pop star Taylor Swift, at Madison Square Garden on July 3.

Meanwhile, Kittle is recovering from the torn right Achilles tendon he suffered during the playoffs earlier this year. Despite the serious injury, his rehabilitation has progressed well and remains on track to suit up for Week 1 against the Los Angeles Rams in Melbourne, Australia. However, the 49ers could choose to hold him out until Week 2 to avoid the demanding overseas trip.
