Identifying which kicker to start in fantasy football lineups in a given week can be tough. And while many leagues have opted to remove the position from starting lineups, managers in leagues featuring kickers in their fantasy lineups can gain a noticeable advantage over their competitors by making correct roster decisions.
While there are some competitions yet to play out to determine the starter, here are the current 2023 fantasy football redraft K rankings.

Who Are the Best Kickers To Draft in 2023 Redraft Leagues?
Like with defenses, people are up in arms about having to draft kickers and the relevancy of fantasy. Don’t get me wrong; I understand some of the arguments where managers would rather change those positions for extra offensive players. But kickers are people, too, and they have a place in fantasy football.
While kickers will never likely be the highest-scoring player on your team, it’s an easy way to gain an advantage over an opponent, even if it just means three or four points. If you play this game long enough, that could be an additional two to three wins a year, given how fine the margins are.
Just because I’m a kicker advocate, though, doesn’t mean I will recommend getting crazy. The same rule applies here. Don’t select your kicker or defenses until the draft’s final rounds. Sure, having Justin Tucker is as good as it gets. He hasn’t finished outside the top 12 since joining the league in 2012 and has been the K8 or higher since 2015.
However, guys like Harrison Butker, Tyler Bass, Evan McPherson, and Jake Elliott are all great kickers to add to your roster since they’re on the highest-scoring teams and will enter each week as the favorite more times than not.
I’m also higher on San Francisco 49ers rookie kicker Jake Moody more than others. Moody is one of the best kickers to enter the NFL in several years and was nearly automatic for the Michigan Wolverines. Moody was a consensus All-American and wasn’t just the first Michigan kicker to ever win the Bakken-Andersen Big Ten Kicker of the Year — he did it twice.

Moody was also the university’s first-ever winner of the Lou Groza Award, awarded to the nation’s best kicker and a two-time finalist. He has a leg that is good from out to 60. Moody takes over this year for Robbie Gould, who averaged over 35 attempts and 45+ extra points in his time with the 49ers. Given the firepower on San Francisco’s offense, Moody has the upside to be this year’s Evan McPherson.
For managers not necessarily looking for the top-ranked kicker in 2023 redraft rankings and are only looking to play matchups, consider Younghoe Koo (ATL) against the Panthers, Riley Patterson or Michael Badgley (DET) against the Chiefs, Jason Sanders (MIA) against the Chargers, Jason Myers (JAX) against the Rams, or Greg Zuerlein (NYJ) against the Bills in Week 1.
