The Washington Commanders (3-4) will host the Seattle Seahawks (5-2) in Week 9. Here’s the latest fantasy football news and advice to help you with your lineups this week and moving forward, specifically regarding TE Zach Ertz.
Is Zach Ertz Playing in Week 9?
Ertz is not on the injury report, and barring a surprise, he is expected to play.
We’ll continue to monitor the Commanders’ injury report leading up to kickoff for any changes. You can also visit and bookmark our Fantasy News Tracker for the latest updates.
Should You Start or Sit Ertz in Week 9?
Zach Ertz isn’t exciting, but three straight with 6+ targets is enough to at least put you on our radar.
I’m rarely going to rank him as a top-10 tight end (9.1 yards per catch this season and a spotty track record of scoring), but I don’t think the floor is as low as most in the streamer tier.
If you have a solid team and just want a warm body at the tight end position, I think this is the profile you’re looking for. If you need a difference-maker, I’d continue to throw darts elsewhere.
Evaluating player performance is one thing, but the ability to be honest with how your specific team is going to have success is another and, at times, the more important part of the process.
