What Is the Fantasy Impact of the Week 2 NFL Weather?

The National Weather Service‘s weather forecasts for the games are up to date as of 6:04 a.m. ET on Sunday, September 14, 2025.

Jacksonville Jaguars at Cincinnati Bengals Weather

  • Kickoff: 1:00 p.m. ET Sunday
  • Expected Temperature: Mid-80s
  • Showers: 0% chance at kickoff, increasing throughout the game
  • Wind: 2 mph easterly

It’s shaping up to be a beautiful day in Cincinnati as the Jacksonville Jaguars head to Ohio to take on the Bengals. The temperature will be on the higher side, which could contribute to player fatigue, but with no rain and minimal wind, conditions should be calm for this game.

Los Angeles Rams at Tennessee Titans Weather

  • Kickoff: 1:00 p.m. ET Sunday
  • Expected Temperature: High 80s
  • Showers: <10% chance at kickoff
  • Wind: 3 mph southwesterly

Nashville looks beautiful today as the Titans host the Rams for a Week 2 matchup. Kickoff temperatures will be in the high 80s, making it a hot one in Tennessee. There’s about a 15% chance of rain around 4 p.m., which could bring showers late, but with low winds, the game should have favorable conditions overall.

New England Patriots at Miami Dolphins Weather

  • Kickoff: 1:00 p.m. ET Sunday
  • Expected Temperature: High 80s
  • Showers: <10% chance at kickoff
  • Wind: 3 mph northwesterly

As expected, Miami Gardens will be hot and humid as the Patriots travel south to face the Dolphins. There won’t be rain at kickoff, but thunderstorms are possible later in the afternoon, with a 10–20% chance around 3 p.m. Conditions are expected to worsen throughout the game, which could impact play.

There are too many variables to make any fantasy lineup decisions based on the weather. The crippling Miami heat early in the season can play a role in player fatigue. However, fantasy managers should not be sitting players based solely on this possibility.

Thunderstorms are more concerning, but they would result in a suspension of play. Thus, players would not have to play through them.

Ultimately, the move here is to avoid the risk of either kicker, but start anyone else as normal.

Buffalo Bills at New York Jets Weather

  • Kickoff: 1:00 p.m. ET Sunday
  • Expected Temperature: Low 80s
  • Showers: 10-20% chance at kickoff
  • Wind: 6 mph northeasterly

It’ll be warm in East Rutherford, New Jersey, as the Jets host the Bills. There’s a slight chance of rain at kickoff and throughout the game, though the odds are low, and showers may miss the stadium. Winds will be light, so they shouldn’t have much impact on play.

Seattle Seahawks at Pittsburgh Steelers Weather

  • Kickoff: 1:00 p.m. ET Sunday
  • Expected Temperature: Low 80s
  • Showers: <10% chance at kickoff
  • Wind: 3 mph northeasterly

The league might not have better football conditions than in Pittsburgh, where the Seahawks travel across the country to face the Steelers.

Temperatures will be ideal, with no rain and light winds, setting up perfect conditions for this matchup.

Cleveland Browns at Baltimore Ravens Weather

  • Kickoff: 1:00 p.m. ET Sunday
  • Expected Temperature: mid-80s
  • Showers: <10% chance at kickoff
  • Wind: 2 mph easterly

Much like in Pittsburgh, the weather in Baltimore is shaping up to be ideal for some September football as the Browns face the Ravens in this AFC North matchup. Clear skies and light winds should ensure the weather won’t affect the game.

Philadelphia Eagles at Kansas City Chiefs Weather

  • Kickoff: 4:25 p.m. ET Sunday
  • Expected Temperature: Low 90s
  • Showers: <10% chance at kickoff
  • Wind: 10 mph southerly

While there won’t be any rain in Kansas City for this Super Bowl rematch between the Chiefs and Eagles, it’s going to be a hot one.

Winds are expected to be steady at 10 mph with gusts approaching 20 mph, and both the heat and breeze could impact play.
