While I do not think Jaylen Warren will see the exact same raw rushing volume he commanded in 2025, his projected workload remains well above his early career norms and that’s enough to land him as a viable fantasy football option in PPR formats this year.
Should I Draft Jaylen Warren in Fantasy Football?
That stable touch count makes him the unquestioned running back to trust in the Pittsburgh Steelers’ backfield, that much I feel good about.
Warren’s true fantasy superpower lies in his remarkable consistency. He is one of only four running backs in the league to record at least 300 receiving yards and 500 rushing yards in each of the past three seasons. The only other names on that exclusive list are blue-chip superstars: Bijan Robinson, Jahmyr Gibbs, and Breece Hall.

Beyond his high-end receiving floor, Warren is quietly one of the most efficient pure runners in football. Since 2022, among all backs with at least 500 carries, his stellar 4.7 yards per carry ranks in the top seven, tying him with Jonathan Taylor and trailing only De’Von Achane, Gibbs, James Cook, Derrick Henry, and Robinson.

Furthermore, Warren clearly earned Aaron Rodgers’ trust last season, and establishing that kind of reliable rapport goes a long way in sustaining weekly PPR value. While his backfield mate Rico Dowdle certainly has talent, the fact that his former team opted to give Chuba Hubbard 13 carries to Dowdle’s five in a crucial Wild Card game last season speaks volumes about how Dowdle is viewed when the chips are in the middle of the table.
There is a downside scenario where Dowdle leads this team in total rushing yards. However, given Warren’s incredible pass-catching floor, I would be shocked if he does not lead this backfield in PPR scoring. I have my concerns about this offensive environment as a whole and that could impact Warren, but because of the number of ways he can get his hands on the ball (provided that Rodgers players in a similar way under new coaching this season), I think he is the skill player most immune to that weakness in the Steel City.
