Updated Jakobi Meyers Fantasy Outlook 2026: Jaguars WR Has a High Floor, But a Limited Ceiling

Jakobi Meyers offers a real floor as Jacksonville's WR2, but a crowded depth chart cap his ceiling and makes him an unappealing draft day option.

Jakobi Meyers has quietly outproduced his draft cost year after year without ever becoming someone fantasy managers actually want.

He now finds himself in a crowded Jacksonville receiver room that got significantly more interesting this offseason. The role is defined, and the floor is real. Fantasy managers still have to ask whether that is worth a draft pick in 2026.

Should I Draft Jakobi Meyers in Fantasy Football?

Meyers is the type of player I just never take. That is not his fault at all.

Here is the frustrating truth: Meyers is going to outperform his ADP expectation. He does it every single year. The problem is that it never moves the needle. Beating your cost by a modest margin at the back of the draft is fine. It is not how anyone wins a league.

Players like this are genuinely interesting for that reason. You never want to draft him. Yet inevitably, somewhere around Week 7, some combination of bye weeks, injuries, and underperformance hits your roster, and the safe, boring floor Meyers provides starts looking mighty appealing. That moment always comes.

I am just never going to chase that in drafts. I would rather try to find it in season, when the actual need presents itself and the cost is a waiver claim rather than a roster spot I committed in August.

The production history supports the floor argument. Meyers posted 13.7 PPG in 2023 and 14.0 PPG in 2024. Either of those numbers at his current cost would be truly excellent. My honest expectation is that we land closer to the 11.0 PPG he delivered last season. That is still a positive return on investment relative to where he goes. For most fantasy managers, though, it is a level of production you can replace without much effort.

The role in Jacksonville is where it gets complicated. I have fully bought into Parker Washington as the Jaguars’ WR1 this season. Meyers slots in as the WR2 and the safety blanket, which is a perfectly useful NFL job. What concerns me for fantasy is the snap distribution. I expect Meyers to come off the field for Brian Thomas Jr. and Travis Hunter far more often than Washington does. That caps an already limited ceiling.

FANTASY RANKINGS: PFN’s FREE Fantasy PPR, Half-PPR, and Non-PPR Rankings

Meyers is my WR46 against a WR44 ADP, which is essentially in agreement with the market. This is not a disagreement about the player or the price.

Meyers is a nice player. He is also a floor play, and I do not draft floor plays. I pick them up in season.
