Currently sitting as RB26 in ADP, Jadarian Price has a realistic path to easily beat that valuation. No team in the NFL logged more running back carries or red zone running back carries than Seattle last season and given the state of the position right now, they have one player to trust in that regard.
Should I Draft Jadarian Price in Fantasy Football?
Fresh off a Super Bowl victory where they ranked third in overall rush rate, there is absolutely no reason to expect this coaching staff to alter their identity. That elite offensive context creates a remarkably high baseline of fantasy production for whoever holds the primary keys to this backfield and to open the season, at the very least, there’s little question as to who that is.
What makes Price such an enticing target is the rare September runway sitting right in front of him. With Zach Charbonnet recovering from a torn ACL suffered in January that required reconstructive surgery in late February, Price is set to inherit the featured role right out of the gate.

After an opening matchup against the Patriots, Seattle faces Arizona and Washington in September, two defenses that ranked in the bottom 10 in yards per carry allowed last season. These soft early matchups give him a prime opportunity to impress immediately and stake a lasting claim to the backfield.

Furthermore, fantasy managers should not penalize him for sharing a collegiate backfield with Jeremiyah Love at Notre Dame. Price actually scored on a higher percentage of his carries (9.7%) in 2025 than Love did (9.0%) behind that exact same offensive line. That’s not to say he’s the generational back and Love is an average option. That’s not the case. I have heard about the lack of college work as a red flag and I’m not buying it: there are 15 starting running backs in the NFL today who would have played a secondary role in that Irish run game last season
Price’s explosive efficiency proves he is fully capable of capitalizing on high-value touches. With a run-centric scheme, an ideal early schedule, and an open runway, Price is one of the premier mid-round targets in 2026 drafts and the rare rookie who could sustain value for all four months of the season.

There is the natural fear of Charbonnet returning, but that’s more than baked into this price. If this rookie produces at the levels that he is capable of, it would be irresponsible of this coaching staff to take the ball out of his hands.
I’m choosing to read the Walker/Charbonnet split from last season as more of an indictment on Walker than anything else, something that leaves the door wide open for Price to amaze in his first season.
