Early Fantasy Kicker Rankings: Week 4 Targets Include Tyler Loop, Jake Bates, and Jason Myers

Finding the right kicker can often be the difference between a win and a loss in fantasy football, and Week 4 is loaded with intriguing streaming options. Daniel Carlson remains a trustworthy leg despite the Raiders’ early struggles, Joey Slye is off to a blazing start in Tennessee, and Spencer Schrader is becoming impossible to ignore as the top kicker in fantasy through two weeks. If consistency, big leg potential, and plenty of kicking opportunities are needed, these three are the priority adds for this weekend.

Cameron Dicker, Los Angeles Chargers (at NYG)

Typically, we want kickers on good offenses, teams that are favored to win, and kicking in good weather/a dome. Traveling to MetLife Stadium is the only negative to Cameron Dicker in Week 4.

The New York Giants are allowing the fourth-most fantasy points per game to kickers through three weeks. They are home underdogs in what will likely be the last game Russell Wilson starts before the team turns to Jaxson Dart.

We should see plenty of offense from the Los Angeles Chargers. The Giants just need to bend and not break a couple of times, allowing Dicker to hammer home a field goal or three.

Joshua Karty, Los Angeles Rams (vs. IND)

The Indianapolis Colts have allowed the third-fewest fantasy points per game to kickers. However, there’s reason not to let that deter you from firing up Joshua Karty.

Consider who the Colts have played. They faced the Miami Dolphins, didn’t score until the fourth quarter. Then, they had a thriller against the Denver Broncos. Wil Lutz would’ve had a perfectly solid game had he not missed his lone field goal attempt. Last week, the Colts had their way with an abysmal Tennessee Titans team with a struggling rookie quarterback. It’s no surprise those teams haven’t been kicking field goals.

The Los Angeles Rams are the Colts’ most formidable foe yet. Karty has made at least two extra points in each game this season and, outside of Week 1, has attempted at least two field goals per game. Last week, it was a Karty Party with the young kicker attempting six field goals, making four of them.

With the Colts possessing a defense good enough to keep the Rams out of the end zone every drive, but not quite good enough to shut down Matthew Stafford, Karty is a strong bet for multiple field goal attempts once again.
