Baltimore Ravens RBs Fantasy Outlooks: Derrick Henry and Justice Hill

Fantasy football outlook for Ravens RBs Derrick Henry and Justice Hill in 2025. Henry's elite potential vs Hill's limited handcuff value analyzed.

Fantasy football managers looking at the Baltimore Ravens’ backfield will find a tale of two very different players in 2025. While Derrick Henry continues to defy age and expectations as one of the most reliable fantasy football assets in the league, Justice Hill remains firmly entrenched as a deep-league afterthought.

The contrast between these running backs perfectly illustrates why draft strategy and player evaluation are crucial in fantasy football. Here’s what you need to know about both players heading into the upcoming season.

Derrick Henry Fantasy Outlook

Henry is as much of a sure thing as you could ask for in fantasy. The veteran running back continues to elude Father Time and, at 31 years old, is still one of the league’s best running backs.

That isn’t projected to change in 2025, after the player’s move to the Baltimore Ravens paid immediate dividends last season. Henry produced the second-most rushing yards and rushing touchdowns of his career and was rewarded with a two-year contract extension in May.

The Ravens’ offense remains mostly unchanged this year, with the team likely to dominate in the run game again. Last year, Henry had just five weekly finishes outside of the RB1 range, highlighting his consistency. Meanwhile, his eight weeks with over 120 rushing yards showcased his everlasting explosiveness.

Henry is unlikely to get the targets necessary to be the RB1 overall in full-PPR, but that didn’t stop him from finishing as the RB4 in the format last season. However, his targets did tick up slightly towards the end of the year, so it wouldn’t be a surprise to see an improvement in that area in 2025. Overall, Henry’s ADP of RB5 feels like his floor, with the potential for top-three numbers at the position this time around.

Justice Hill Fantasy Outlook

Hill is an afterthought in fantasy. The 2019 fourth-round pick has spent his entire career with the AFC North side, but has started just five games. With Derrick Henry monopolizing touches, that’s unlikely to change anytime soon, who may even lose what little work he did have to Keaton Mitchell in 2025.

Hill should be exciting as a handcuff, but he did very little with the five starts he had in 2023. It isn’t easy to see Hill’s career moving in a positive direction at this point. Henry was rewarded with a contract extension during the offseason, while Hill had almost no fantasy impact with Mitchell sidelined last season.

In deeper leagues, you could be forgiven for spending a late pick on Hill if you took Henry early, but there are several more exciting players to take shots on with your final picks. Outside of an injury to Henry, reading this will likely be the most time you spend thinking about Hill in fantasy until at least next August.
