Top RBs To Start in Week 6

Travis Etienne Jr., Jacksonville Jaguars

On a recent episode of “The PFN Fantasy Football Podcast,” we discussed how Etienne was a perfect trade target in fantasy football leagues due to his opportunity.

The touchdowns, and subsequent boost in fantasy points, hadn’t happened just yet, but the volume was there to indicate that we would see production from Etienne sooner rather than later. We got that in Week 5 in a big way.

Etienne saw 31 opportunities — targets and carries combined — for 184 total yards and two touchdowns against a defense that was supposed to keep this running game in check. Now, the explosive playmaker gets a matchup against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 6.

The Colts are allowing 119.2 rushing yards per contest up to this point of the season and Etienne already gashed them for 77 yards and a score on the ground in Week 1. If you’re looking for a top-tier play at the RB position in Week 6, Etienne’s a solid option.

Alexander Mattison, Minnesota Vikings

We need to throw out what happened in Week 5 for the Chicago Bears’ defense. They were able to keep Brian Robinson in check, but that game script played out dramatically in their favor. It shouldn’t be an indication of things to come.

Mattison didn’t do a whole lot in Week 5 against the Kansas City Chiefs defense, but he was able to save his fantasy day with a receiving touchdown. He now gets a matchup against a Bears defense that should give him plenty of opportunities to find the end zone again in Week 6.
