Top QBs To Start in Week 5
Justin Fields, Chicago Bears
Yes, the Bears collapsed in true Chicago fashion at the end of the game against the Denver Broncos yesterday, but did we see the return of Justin Fields? The former Ohio State QB looked unstoppable in Week 4 against Denver’s defense, and he did it primarily as a passer versus utilizing his rushing ability.
Fields will now get a matchup against a Washington defense that is allowing a jaw-dropping 30.0 points per game so far this season through four weeks. This game could easily become a shootout with two porous defenses, and the fantasy points could be plentiful.
C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans
Let’s keep the trend going of discussing former OSU QBs here with C.J. Stroud in Houston. We have to recognize and applaud what this rookie is doing in a less-than-favorable situation.
Stroud has now gone three straight weeks of finishing as a top-15 QB for fantasy football, and he’s going to go back-to-back weeks within the top 12! And now he gets a matchup in Week 5 against an Atlanta Falcons defense that shouldn’t have many answers for this passing attack.
If you’re looking for a streaming QB due to another option being on a bye week, Stroud’s a solid fill-in play at this point.
