    Highlights and Analysis

    Third Quarter

On the first drive of the second half, Ridder led his offense down the field. The Falcons got on the board with a 15-yard pass to Drake London for a touchdown.

    Second Quarter

INTERCEPTION: On the very next offensive play, S Andre Cisco picks off Ridder. This time the pass is intended for Kyle Pitts. Cisco fumbled on the return, but LB Foye Oluokun recovered at the Falcons’ 16-yard line.

INTERCEPTION: Darious Williams steps in front of a Desmond Ridder pass intended for Drake London and takes it to the house to open up a 17-point lead.

    First Quarter

Calvin Ridley opens the scoring against his former team with a 30-yard reception from Trevor Lawrence. Lawrence made a superb move in the pocket and hit a wide-open Ridley in the back of the end zone.

Falcons vs. Jaguars Picks and Predictions

    • Spread
      Jaguars -3
    • Moneyline
      Falcons +124, Jaguars -148
    • Over/Under

Blewis: The Jaguars have been very disappointing so far. They had the potential to be one of the best teams in the AFC this season but haven’t looked good on either side of the ball so far. They looked poised to take advantage of a weak AFC South, but it’s far from certain that they will win this division.

If there has been any bright spot for the Jaguars, it has been their run defense. Through three weeks, they’re second in success rate in stopping the run.

However, they haven’t faced a rushing attack like the Falcons, but we saw last week in their loss against the Lions that they aren’t matchup-proof, as they were held to 2.2 yards per carry.

I also expect the Jags to get less unlucky. Despite losing by 20 points to the Texans, Jacksonville out-gained them by 40 yards, and 14 of Houston’s points came from a kick-return TD and a 68-yard pass play. Return touchdowns are rare, and I’m not expecting an explosive passing game from Desmond Ridder.

The Jags should also improve their red-zone efficiency sooner rather than later, as this offense is too talented only to convert 20% of their red-zone appearances into touchdowns, which has been the case the last two weeks.

This is also a Calvin Ridley revenge game. He ranks sixth among wide receivers in target share in the red zone.

Picks: Jaguars -3 (-110 at DraftKings), Calvin Ridley anytime touchdown (+135 at DraftKings)
