John Sutcliffe Gets Emotional After Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Message

The message spread during the halftime show was about culture, love, and identity. Benito, who’s Puerto Rican, used his platform to provide sources of hope and union, despite the divisive state that’s currently active throughout the world.

At the end, Bad Bunny mentioned the names of every country in Latin America and North America before leaving the stage to the song “Debi Tirar Mas Fotos.” The moment got ESPN Deportes’ John Sutcliffe, known for some of his moments speaking Spanish with other players, very emotional, as he revealed after the performance:

“It was truly very emotional. The message Bunny sent, whether you like his music or not, was with love, with culture, and affection. In a world where everyone seems to be fighting, and you recognize Lady Gaga, that Ricky Martin came today; if you are in Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, Chile, wherever you are, it’s okay to have a tear in your eye, and feel proud that Benito sang in Spanish in America’s biggest celebration.’

Sutcliffe, who’s Mexican, has been part of ESPN for over a decade, focusing some of his coverage on Mexico’s National Team and some other major coverages, such as Monday Night Football and the NBA Finals.

Seahawks Dominate Patriots in Super Bowl 60, Win Second Championship

Seattle was laser-focused on the task and dominated New England to avenge the loss in Super Bowl 49. The 29-13 score doesn’t show how easy the game truly was.

The Seahawks, who boasted the No. 3 defense in the league according to our PFSN’s NFL Defense Impact with an 88.4 score, were able to bring constant pressure to Drake Maye, especially with blitzes that included cornerback Devon Witherspoon. He led the game with three quarterback hits on Maye; he also had one pass defended and one tackle for loss. A complete performance from the young defender.

The Seahawks will prepare for the 2026 season with a change in the coaching staff. Offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak confirmed in an interview after the game that he’ll become the new head coach for the Las Vegas Raiders. Kubiak, though, promised to celebrate the championship before changing his focus to the Raiders.
