Hurts’ response when asked why he wasn’t wearing his championship ring during the start of Eagles training camp was stated simply: “I’ve moved on, I’ve moved on to the new year and it’s as simple as that.”
The dual-threat star, who led Philadelphia to a 40-22 rout of the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX, isn’t basking in past success. Instead, he’s leading by example, adopting a mindset of progress and humility heading into the 2025 NFL season.

Hurts finished Super Bowl LIX with 293 total yards and three touchdowns, capping off an MVP-worthy performance. Yet, for him, the glory of that night is already in the rearview mirror. The Eagles have retooled their roster and come into the new season with new expectations, and their QB1 isn’t allowing complacency to creep in.
