The Philadelphia Eagles will have a busy offseason as a mix of young and veteran players look to continue the franchise’s recent success. At the center of potential offseason conversations is 37-year-old Brandon Graham.
The 16-year pro has a trophy case full of personal and team accolades. However, his burning passion for the game could propel him to yet another season.
Brandon Graham Opens Up About Future With Eagles Following Conclusion of 2025 Season
After their dominant Super Bowl victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, the Eagles were dismissed from the 2026 postseason in the Wild Card round by San Francisco. Undoubtedly leaving a bitter taste in Eagles players’ mouths, Graham spoke on his podcast, “Unblocked,” about his desire to return.
NFL analyst Chase Senior took to X to detail the conversation between Graham, his co-host Bo Wolf, and former teammates Chris Long and Beau Allen.
“Eagles legend, Brandon Graham is interested in playing one more year for the Philadelphia Eagles,” says Senior. “He said this on his podcast: ‘If Howie [Roseman] makes that call, I’m coming back, one more.'”
During the 2024 season, the Michigan alumnus suffered a torn tricep, which kept him sidelined for most of the campaign. Triumphantly returning for the Super Bowl, Graham announced his retirement following the 2025 season. Showing his pride once more, the 6’2″ defensive end came out of retirement to help an injured Eagles squad.
Making yet another immaculate return, the undeterred star made his presence known in his first practice back from retirement. As the crew reminisces on Graham’s unwavering spirit, Wolf recalls a story that displays No. 55’s dominance to this day.
“I heard a very funny story of your first practice back,” said Wolf. “You were dominating, and you’re like ‘this guy doesn’t even know who I am.’ And the truth was, that guy didn’t know who you were, it was the international pathway guy who was blocking you and he’s [Graham] just destroying this guy.”
The two-time Walter Payton Man of the Year nominee helped the Eagles’ defense to a top-10 ranking in 2025, according to PFSN’s Defense Impact metric. Vic Fangio’s defense specialized in sack % (the total number of sacks a defense generates divided by the total number of opponent dropbacks).

The pass rushers’ efforts helped the Eagles finish fourth overall in sack percentage at 38%. Graham helped in that department with his three sacks in nine games. After an offseason that left Eagles fans in shambles, the two-time Super Bowl champion offering early hope of a return could fuel the fire for the Eagles faithful moving forward.
