Saquon Barkley and A.J. Brown are two of Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts’ biggest weapons.
While the latter hasn’t had his best statistical go-round, head coach Nick Sirianni would much rather have the talented receiver be on the field than sidelined when their team takes on the Green Bay Packers on Monday night.
The Eagles offered a few injury updates during their Saturday injury report. It seems like good news for Barkley and Brown as the team gets set to take on a conference foe looking to knock it off its perch.
Latest on Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown’s Injuries
Barkley (groin) and Brown (hamstring) were both full participants during the Eagles’ practice on Thursday. They practiced fully on Saturday as well, and no longer hold any injury designation for Monday Night Football.
Center Cam Jurgens (knee) still didn’t practice and is unlikely to play against the Packers.

According to the Philadelphia Inquirer’s Jeff McLane, Brown earlier in the week said he expected to play in the rematch of last season’s NFC Wild Card playoff clash. The star receiver missed the Eagles’ Week 8 matchup against the New York Giants with the same ailment.
Brown’s season has been underwhelming by his standards. Through seven games, he’s reeled in 29 receptions for 395 yards and three touchdowns. He’s posted 56.4 receiving yards per game, which, if the campaign ended today, would be the lowest average of his pro career. While he hasn’t directly expressed frustration, it has seemed to bubble under the surface.
Doing his best to combat any friction, Sirianni has made sure to compliment Brown’s leadership and desire to win. Even with Brown’s decrease in production, the Eagles aren’t underestimating his importance to their attack.
According to Statmuse, Brown has the seventh-most receiving yards (2,930) in the league since 2023. He’s put up 14.5 yards per grab, which grades out as the sixth-best average during that same time frame.
With a 76.6 score, Brown ranks No. 37 on PFSN’s Wide Receiver Impact list, which puts him just ahead of the Kansas City Chiefs’ Marquise Brown (76.5) and the Detroit Lions’ Jameson Williams (76.0).
Barkley, meanwhile, has rushed for 519 yards on 127 carries this season, a notable downturn after he led the league with 2,005 yards on the ground a campaign ago. However, he will enter Week 10 off his best performance of the season, as he gained 150 yards and a touchdown on 14 carries against his old New York Giants squad before exiting the game in the second half due to a groin issue.
