Having Drake bet on your sports team is never a good thing. The rapper is known for making huge bets at some events, but the “Drake Curse” developed after he missed on many of his picks. For Super Bowl 60, he has decided to bet $1 million on the winner.
Drake Bets $1 Million For Patriots’ Super Bowl Win
Drake took to Instagram to reveal his pick for the big game. He placed a $1 million bet on the New England Patriots, who are considered 4.5-point underdogs to win against the Seattle Seahawks. The expected return for a win is $2.95 million.
The picture included the caption “bet against me if you dare”, which could actually be a positive thing for those picking the Seahawks.
There is a website named “The Drake Curse“, which tracks the sports bets made by the rapper. Notably, the NFL is considered his most profitable sport, with a profit of $1.68 million; however, his win rate is just 31.6%, with 6 correct picks in 19 total selections.

His highest hit in NFL picks came two years ago. Drake correctly picked the Kansas City Chiefs to defeat the San Francisco 49ers at 104 odds. His $1.15 million wager turned into a profit of $1.19 million. So far, this is his only NFL bet with over a million in profit; this could change if the Patriots indeed upset the Seahawks in Super Bowl 60.
Drake isn’t the only personality to wager on the Patriots to win on Sunday. Notable bettor Jim ‘Mattress’ Mack is also siding with New England, betting $2 million to win $4 million if Drake Maye’s team wins the game.
Most Experts Are Siding With The Seahawks For Super Bowl 60
The Seahawks are considered favorites for the game, and a long list of specialists compiled by the Patriots website have the Seahawks as the winners in the upcoming game. Seattle is coming from a lopsided win over the San Francisco 49ers and a difficult game against the Los Angeles Rams.

The Seahawks also named Jaxon Smith-Njigba Offensive Player of the Year (OPOY) on Thursday, but he did not attend the award ceremony as he prepared for the Super Bowl.
Mike Macdonald and Nick Emmanwori were also considered for individual awards, but they lost, respectively, to Mike Vrabel (Coach of the Year) and Carson Schwesinger (Defensive Rookie of the Year).
