Drake Maye is set to enter his sophomore season with the New England Patriots after a promising rookie season. The third overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft has spent the offseason learning a new system after Mike Vrabel was named the head coach, bringing Josh McDaniels in for his third stint as the franchise’s offensive coordinator.
Maye and the Patriots will look to bounce back from a rough season where they finished just 4-13. While preparing for his second season as a professional, Maye is also set to tie the knot to his long-time girlfriend, Ann Michael Hudson, this offseason.

Maye and Hudson began dating in 2015 at the young age of 13, while they were attending Bailey Middle School in North Carolina. He proposed to his long-time girlfriend at the beach in January shortly after his rookie season in the NFL concluded.
Maye and Hudson began their high school journey at William A. Hough High School, however, the former wound up transferring to nearby Myers Park High School after his freshman year.
The couple decided to attend the University of North Carolina, where he carved out a legacy as one of the most decorated quarterbacks in program history.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Hudson has been majoring in Business Administration at the Kenan Flagler Business School. She has also been pursuing a double minor in Entrepreneurship and Conflict Management.

She spent a year as the Vice President of Finance for the Kappa Delta Sorority. The soon-to-be wife of the Patriots quarterback has done several internships during her time at UNC, most recently serving as a Strategy Summer Scholar for Deloitte Consulting during the summer of 2024.
Hudson spent ten months as the Operations Subcommittee Member for the UNC Undergraduate Business Symposium. She did two separate stints as an intern at Piedmont Pennies – serving first as a Business Development Intern, then as a Strategy Consultant Intern.
She also worked as a Key Account Associate Intern at Bosch Power Tools and also as a Retail Sales Associate at Whilden.
Meanwhile, in the 2024 season, Maye appeared in 13 games, making 12 starts, and threw for 2,275 yards, 15 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. He completed 66.6% of his pass attempts while adding 421 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 54 carries.
