The Atlanta Falcons suffered another narrow defeat in Week 13 and an even narrower margin for error as the season winds down.
Despite the setbacks, the team received some optimistic news Monday that could shape its Week 14 outlook. What remains uncertain is whether this update will ultimately translate to an immediate return for their top receiver.
Atlanta Falcons Await Clarity on Drake London’s Week 14 Availability
Head coach Raheem Morris provided the latest update on Drake London’s knee injury during his Monday session with reporters. The tone surrounding London’s recovery shifted in a positive direction, as Morris confirmed the receiver is now viewed as day to day instead of week to week.

He noted that London has already resumed limited movement on the field and appears to be trending in the right direction. Morris indicated that London is improving and has a realistic opportunity to play in Week 14, but the coaching staff will need to further observe how London moves on the practice field during the week before making any decision.
This echoed remarks shared through Falcons reporter Will McFadden, where Morris said London “certainly has a chance [to play]. We’ll need to see him move around a little bit this week.”
London originally suffered a PCL sprain in the Week 12 loss to the Carolina Panthers, a game in which the Falcons again lost a fourth-quarter lead and also lost starting quarterback Michael Penix Jr. for the season with a partially torn ACL.
Since then, veteran Kirk Cousins has taken over, though the offense has struggled to maintain consistency without its top target.
Before his injury, London was producing at an elite pace. His production was reflected in PFSN’s WR Impact metric. According to the data, London sports an Impact Score of 85.5, earning a B grade and ranking ninth among receivers for the 2025 season.
He’s generated 60 receptions, 810 yards, and six touchdowns on 94 targets. The numbers align with his role as the Falcons’ most reliable offensive contributor.
The Falcons’ record sits at 4-8 after the walk-off loss to the New York Jets on Sunday marking their sixth defeat in seven games. With the 9-3 Seattle Seahawks, who sport one of the league’s toughest secondaries, coming to town, London’s availability could certainly influence how competitive the Falcons can be on Sunday.
Given the typical recovery timeline for a PCL sprain, the update on London offers reason for genuine optimism. If London continues to progress through practice without setbacks, he may be available to offer a much-needed boost in Week 14 to an offense searching for stability.
