The football world may never see a more polarizing figure than Deion Sanders. The current head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes has always drawn a ton of attention. From his playing days to his current job, “Primetime” has become a brand, one way or another.
Sanders has been in the spotlight with Colorado for some time. He coached his sons, Shedeur and Shilo Sanders, with the Buffaloes for a few years. Shedeur is currently a quarterback for the Cleveland Browns. And he is a bit of a polarizing figure himself.
Breiden Fehoko Details Why He Doesn’t Respect Deion Sanders
While Coach Prime has his fans, he certainly has his detractors. One former NFL veteran is not a fan of Sanders. And he recently opened up as to why this is the case.
Former NFL defensive tackle Breiden Fehoko, during a segment on “The Fehoko Show,” detailed his issues with the Buffaloes’ head coach. This dates back to when Fehoko was in high school.

“I’m a senior in high school and I’m playing in the Under Armour All-American Game in Orlando, Florida, and Deion was involved with that game, and I’ve been a fan of Deion up to this point… Who wasn’t a fan of Deion?” Fehoko began.
“What really pissed me off and what really turned me on Deion Sanders, and what really made me think that this guy’s a [expletive] [expletive] was when I was a 17-year-old kid in Orlando, Florida. We were in the players’ lounge for the Under Armour All-American Game. And I remember Deion walking by… I go up, I said, ‘I’m a big fan of you. Man, I would love to get a picture. I would love some advice,’… He looks at me in this very tone, he says, ‘Hey, man, move along.'”

The former NFL defensive tackle says he hasn’t held a grudge against the Buffaloes coach since this incident. However, it certainly changed his perception of him.
“Whenever I see Deion post in the media, all these Bible quotes, all these talks about doing good, I look at him, I’m like, ‘Deion, you’re a [expletive] [expletive].’ I don’t respect you. I know what type of human being you are,” Fehoko added. “You probably think you’ve changed, but to a young 17-year-old who had aspirations and wanted to accomplish what you’ve accomplished and looked at you like an icon as a role model, and for you to do that, that will be my forever image of you.”
Fehoko went on to play in the NFL for parts of three seasons. He played in 19 career games for the Los Angeles Chargers and was on the Pittsburgh Steelers’ practice squad. He did not record a sack, but he did rack up 36 total tackles, including one for a loss.
Sanders played parts of 14 seasons in the NFL and is a Pro Football Hall of Famer. In 2020, he entered the collegiate coaching ranks with Jackson State.
He was with the Tigers until December 2022, when he was hired by the Buffaloes. He has led Colorado to a 16-21 record during his time with the program.
