‘Got Legs Like Tree Trunks’ — Donald Trump Claims Giants QB Jaxson Dart Will Be ‘A Future Hall of Famer’

Donald Trump praised New York Giants QB Jaxson Dart at a rally, calling him a “future Hall of Famer” and joking about his “tree trunk” legs.

It was an appearance nobody expected. When President Donald Trump rolled into Rockland County for his rally, he was greeted by New York Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart. The 23-year-old walked on stage at Rockland Community College’s Eugene Levy Fieldhouse and gave a warm introduction ahead of Trump’s speech, while the crowd chanted “Go Big Blue” in the background.

Before the second-year quarterback walked off the stage, Trump was seen whispering something into Dart’s ear before the pair shook hands.

Donald Trump Was Full of Praise for Jaxson Dart’s Athleticism

Having been drafted last year, Dart played 14 games for the Giants in his rookie season, completing 63.7% of his throws for 2,272 yards and 15 touchdowns. Considering how he fared in his rookie season, it’s not surprising that Trump had nothing but praise for the Utah native.

“I wanna thank Jaxson Dart,” Trump said. “This is gonna be a future Hall of Famer in my book. Thank you, Jaxson. Lots of talent.”

However, the POTUS didn’t stop there and even went on to comment on Dart’s impressive physique.

“I’m looking at Jaxson,” Trump added. “I’d like to know if there is any woman in the audience who thinks that they can tackle that guy, because I’d like to meet you. I’d like to shake your hand. I’m looking at Jaxson…I’m looking at the legs there. He’s this beautiful guy. He’s got legs like tree trunks. This is not a good thing for women.”

Dart, who rose through the ranks after playing college football for the USC Trojans and Ole Miss Rebels, was selected in the first round (25th overall) of the 2025 NFL Draft by the Giants. He started off as a backup to Russell Wilson before becoming the starting quarterback in the Week 4 matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Giants ended up beating the Chargers, who were undefeated up to that point, with Dart completing 13 of 20 passes for 111 yards and adding a rushing touchdown. Dart also helped the Giants defeat the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles, completing 17 of 25 passes for 195 yards while rushing 13 times for 58 yards. According to PFSN’s QB Impact Metric, he posted an impact score of 76.3 last season, ranking 14th in the league.

That was a landmark achievement for him, as he joined Patrick Mahomes as the only quarterback since 1991 to lead his team to an opening-drive touchdown in each of their first three starts.

Considering how his career has begun, it’s not surprising to hear Trump call him a “future Hall of Famer.”

While the rally at Rockland Community College centered around support for Republican Congressman Mike Lawler, it’s fair to say that Dart’s appearance became one of the event’s biggest talking points.
