Top MNF DFS Picks on DraftKings for Week 13

Trevor Lawrence, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars ($15,600) | Captain

I’ll start it off with a question: Do you trust the Bengals offense to produce many scoring opportunities with QB Jake Browning under center? Unfortunately, I don’t.

This means I’m rolling with a Jags-heavy lineup for this prime-time showdown. One player who has finally managed to string together back-to-back big performances has been QB Trevor Lawrence.

Lawrence has a combined total of six TDs with 626 yards through the air over the last two games, which are by far his best consecutive fantasy outings of the 2023 season. Expect Lawrence to have plenty of bites at the apple in this contest if the Bengals offense struggles to sustain drives.

Zay Jones, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars ($5,200)

This suggestion may seem a bit unusual given WR Zay Jones’ underwhelming stat lines over the last two games. However, his presence on the field has seemingly had a profoundly positive impact on the Jags offense as a whole.

Despite just one reception for 10 yards against the Houston Texans last week, Jones is still getting on the football field and is a cheaper option for this slate that could produce big fantasy returns against the Bengals.

Calvin Ridley, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars ($9,200)

Speaking of big fantasy returns, WR Calvin Ridley is on a tear over the last two games. His 12 receptions for 192 yards and three scores have helped him produce consecutive 20+ fantasy point performances, which has thrust him back into the WR2 conversation on a weekly basis.

Ridley appears to have benefitted from the return of Jones to the lineup, which could be opening things up for him with another playmaker on the field to help draw coverage away from him.

Look for Ridley to build off of his recent big weeks against the Bengals.

Travis Etienne, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars ($10,200)

As red-hot as Ridley has been over the past couple of games, the exact opposite can be said about RB Travis Etienne, who has failed to top 13 fantasy points in PPR formats in three straight contests.

Part of Etienne’s recent slump can be attributed to his drop in efficiency on the ground, where he has averaged fewer than 4.0 yards per carry (YPC) in six straight games. Backup running back D’Ernest Johnson has also seen seven carries in each of the last two games.

Fortunately, Etienne will be facing off against a Bengals defense that gives up an average of 19.7 fantasy points per game to opposing backs this season. In a game script that could favor the Jags backfield, you want Etienne in your DFS build for this game.

Tanner Hudson, TE, Cincinnati Bengals ($4,000)

If it wasn’t for two receptions on tipped passes for WR Ja’Marr Chase last week, it would’ve been TE Tanner Hudson who led the Bengals for the most passes caught against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 12.

Hudson has caught a minimum of four passes in four straight weeks, which makes him a player who has a PPR floor and could produce a double-digit performance if he gets a bit of touchdown equity against the Jags.

Jacksonville Jaguars Defense ($4,800)

Ever since the Jaguars defense got torched by the San Francisco 49ers back in early November, the defense has managed to give up an average of just 17.5 points over the last two games.

During that span, the defense has generated six sacks against C.J. Stroud and Will Levis. With an improving defensive unit, the Jags could give Browning some issues during his second start in the NFL, which makes the Jacksonville defense an intriguing option for this prime-time matchup.
