Now that the dust has settled in what will likely be remembered as one of the more unexpected and parity-driven seasons in NFL history, there is a lot to look back on and celebrate. In the case of the Seattle Seahawks, of course, virtually every decision they made across the board ended up being a net positive for them.
A turnover-heavy offseason saw them enter the new season with a ton of changes at various key positions. One of the more underrated additions in that regard was superstar defensive lineman DeMarcus Lawrence. While his initial signing came with a ton of controversy, it has panned out perfectly for him. Now, a legend from his former team, Dez Bryant, is ready to celebrate the success of a Super Bowl victory with him.
Dez Bryant Showers Love for DeMarcus Lawrence
Starting his career with the Dallas Cowboys in 2014, Lawrence was with the team for 11 seasons until the end of the 2024 season before signing a three-year deal with the Seahawks this summer.
After joining his new franchise, he made some controversial comments about having a real shot at winning the Super Bowl. A ton of players on the Cowboys roster took offense to his words, but less than a year later, he has backed up his words in a spectacular way.
Playing a key part in a stifling defense that ranked at number three on PFSN’s NFL Defense Impact, he helped Seattle etch victory in Super Bowl 60. In the Big Game as well, the defense was the star of the show, holding the New England Patriots to just 13 points.
Recording two interceptions and a strip sack on Drake Maye, the latter of which was returned for a touchdown, they thoroughly outclassed their opponents in every way imaginable.

With the win, Lawrence completed a journey that began with him calling his shot before anyone truly saw the Seahawks as a team worthy of being a contender. And, Dallas superstars are willing to let bygones be bygones.
Reacting to the initial news of the three-year, $42 million contract he signed with Seattle, Bryant’s excitement was clear as day to see. On X, the Cowboys legend wrote, “I got to buy my dawg a @ROLEX”
A three-time Pro Bowler with the Cowboys during his career as a wide receiver, Bryant has always been loyal to the franchise he made his career with and has been tuned in to everything happening with them.
However, even with the disparaging comments from Lawrence when he changed his teams, Bryant understood the reality of his franchise since their heyday in the early 1990s and was willing to celebrate the moment with the defensive star.
