The Broncos vs. Vikings will showcase two teams that seem to perpetually be one piece away from glory each year. Both teams have question marks surrounding them, but they also have some impressive weapons. Whether you need a TV channel or a live stream option to watch the preseason contest, you can get that info plus its start time and NFL odds right here.
Denver Broncos vs. Minnesota Vikings | Preseason Week 1
The preseason opener of the Denver Broncos vs. Minnesota Vikings is one of three nationally aired games on Saturday, August 14.
This matchup will have some interesting storylines to follow. It will be the first time Denver general manager George Paton has faced his former team. Paton previously served as the assistant general manager and vice president of player personnel for the Vikings and served with them in various executive roles for 14 seasons.
Also, even though it has already been announced that he will not be the starter in this game, Teddy Bridgewater, who is in a competition for QB1 with Drew Lock right now, will get a look at the team that drafted him back in 2014.

Knowing that Lock will be starting this game (and likely playing for a significant portion of it) makes it hard to go with the Vikings. Minnesota’s QB Kirk Cousins probably won’t see a lot of time, and the rookie sensation from last year, Justin Jefferson, will miss time with an injury.
The Broncos have four tackles currently fighting for roster spots, a QB trying to impress, and a WR room that needs playing time. All of that is usually a good sign in the preseason. Plus, the Broncos are only laying 1.5 points.
I would also lean to the over at this point. Minnesota’s defense was one of the worst in the league, and I don’t see that getting any better with a bunch of second and third stringers playing.
