Shedeur Sanders’ $17.7M Income Doesn’t Even Include His Jersey Sales, Says Deion Sanders

The Sanders family is famously marketable, with Hall of Famer Deion standing as the patriarch in a clan that continues to produce sports talent. The family sent two new players to the NFL last year, namely Shedeur and his brother, Shilo Sanders. While Shilo failed to earn a full-time roster spot, Shedeur is competing for a starting job.

The Browns’ quarterback started seven games in his rookie season but failed to cement his status as the QB1. According to PFSN’s QB Impact Metric, he posted an impact score of 56.7, ranking third-worst in the league.

Moreover, Sanders’ business ventures far outweigh his playing career, with him already securing several major brand deals. His stardom skyrocketed with his college transfer to Colorado, where he quickly became an NIL magnet. Similarly, his journey to the NFL further expanded his portfolio of brand deals, as he recorded $17.7 million in licensing income in his rookie season.

In a YouTube clip, Deion was seen speaking about his son’s early business success in the league, which has already exceeded the heights set by seven-time Super Bowl champion Tom Brady.

“I’m so darn proud of my kids,” he said. “I just had a kid [Shedeur] that made the most money in the history of the NFL in sales. That wasn’t even including jerseys, y’all don’t know that, that was another deal.”

Deion was also asked about Shedeur’s earnings during an interview with Front Office Sports.

“I’m proud of him,” he said. “I don’t know if people really dug into that. It has nothing to do with his jersey sales. That’s a whole other category. [This] was just licensing cards or whatsoever. So I’m happy, I’m truly happy.”

Shedeur will also enter the 2026 season as a stakeholder in an exotic property deal that he is invested in with his father.

“And not only that, we ventured into our first property together,” Deion added. “We went 50/50. I gave him, matter of fact, we went 51/49, I gave him the upper half, you know, of the controlling interest of property on an island that we love, and we agreed upon.”

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Shedeur is worth around $14 million, and it’ll be interesting to see how his brand deals expand as his NFL journey continues.
