Deion Sanders Sends Bold 1-Word Message Refuting Claims That Shedeur Sanders Bought $500,000 Rolls-Royce

There was a report that Shedeur Sanders purchased a custom Rolls Royce for $500,000 but Deion Sanders refuted the claim. What did he say?

The drama surrounding Shedeur Sanders isn’t just about football for the Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback. A recent report claimed Sanders bought a custom $500,000 Rolls-Royce as his first major purchase after being drafted in the fifth round of the 2025 NFL Draft—but the story quickly got murky.

After the report surfaced, questions popped up about whether it was legit. That led to his father, Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders, addressing the rumor on social media. What did Coach Prime have to say?

Deion Sanders Refutes Claim That Shedeur Sanders Bought Custom Rolls-Royce

Coach Prime wasted no time shutting it down. Under a post discussing the car purchase, he responded with a single word:

“Lies”

Shedeur Sanders also chimed in, posting on social media:

“Another lie…. I’m focused on my team not a car purchase!”

Things got more confusing after Deion Sanders Jr. appeared in a YouTube video showing off a custom Rolls-Royce at the family’s estate in Canton, Texas. That led many to believe it belonged to Shedeur, but if the car was purchased using his signing bonus, that rumor appears to be officially debunked.

Sanders signed a four-year, $4.6 million rookie contract with the Browns, which included a $446,553 signing bonus. He’s currently competing for the starting quarterback job with fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel, veteran Joe Flacco, and Kenny Pickett. Deshaun Watson is expected to begin the season on injured reserve after suffering a torn Achilles in 2024.

Despite the buzz, Shedeur has stayed focused on football and hasn’t been flashing big spending. When asked back in May whether he planned to buy the No. 2 jersey from wide receiver DeAndre Carter—his number at Colorado—he made his financial stance pretty clear:

“I’m not trying to buy anything. My signing bonus ain’t that high right now.”

So, while someone in the Sanders family may have picked up a Rolls-Royce, all signs point to it not being Shedeur. Instead of chasing luxury cars, the rookie QB is locked in on winning the Browns’ starting job and kicking off his NFL career the right way.
