After recent health concerns forced him to step away from the Colorado Buffaloes football program temporarily, Deion Sanders had plenty of reasons to be thankful this Father’s Day. The often-exuberant head coach was able to spend time with three of his five children at his home in Texas, with heartwarming photos taken to mark the occasion.

With both Shedeur and Shilo Sanders away at camp with their respective new NFL teams, Deion spent Father’s Day with Deion Jr., Deiondra and Shelomi. The 57-year-old posted photos to his Instagram of himself with his kids in front of some Father’s Day balloons.
The coach recently shared a positive update on his health and looked in good spirits as he embraced his loved ones.

It wasn’t just Deion who shared the moment. Deion Jr. posted a longer video of the day, including scenes of them setting up decorations. Speaking with his sister Deiondra later in the clip, the siblings talked about their love and appreciation for their dad.
When asked about her favorite Father’s Day memory, Deiondra picked this year because of how much time they all spent together.
“That was really cool, I really enjoyed that we all was together, spending time, playing Uno and stuff,” she said. “I have so many memories that I love about my daddy, and I’m so thankful for him, and I know Snow is so thankful for him. I’m so thankful for him, what a great grandfather he is.”
Deion Jr. then got in front of the camera to say a few words about his father. The entrepreneur looked a bit uncomfortable at first talking about his emotions, but he pushed through and delivered a message that his father would be proud to hear.
“There’s been too many good times to just highlight one,” he said. “There’s been a lot of lessons that you’ve taught me, a lot of different things.”
The respect Deion’s kids have for him shows in how they talk about him. All five grew up living a life most kids could only dream about, but it’s a credit to their parents that they’ve all gone after their own goals anyway.
