The Los Angeles Rams made a major move at wide receiver this offseason, switching out veteran Cooper Kupp for another veteran in Davante Adams. The franchise is all in to win a Super Bowl in the next two seasons, before the Matthew Stafford era comes to an end.
Davante Adams To Form Dynamic Partnership With Nacua
Nacua has been exceptional since joining the Rams in 2023. The eventual fifth-round pick had flown under the radar in the NFL draft until the Rams saw an opportunity to land him on the third day.
With Kupp sidelined for the first four weeks of that 2023 season, Nacua quickly announced his arrival in the NFL. He broke the rookie record for receptions in a game in Week 2, catching 15 passes for 147 yards against the San Francisco 49ers.
Nacua finished the year with 105 catches for 1,486 yards and six touchdowns, breaking the rookie record for receiving yards in the process.
Despite featuring in only 11 games in 2024, the second-year receiver still posted 76 catches for 990 receiving yards, including a 12-catch, 162-yard, and touchdown performance against the Buffalo Bills in Week 12.
Both Nacua and Kupp missed significant time through injury this past season, but now in 2025, the Rams will roll out a new duo, with hopes of getting back to the Super Bowl.
Adams had a complex year in 2024, making the switch from the Las Vegas Raiders to the New York Jets, in hopes of salvaging an underwhelming season alongside Aaron Rodgers.
That opportunity quickly crumbled before them, but despite the struggle, Adams still posted another 1,000-yard season, marking his sixth in seven years.
The past couple have years have been unsettling for the three-time first-team All-Pro. He originally moved to Vegas to play with Derek Carr, his college quarterback at Fresno State. Carr was benched late in the 2022 season, and then outcast by the Raiders, leaving Adams stranded.
His decision to reunite with Aaron Rodgers in New York was a similar move, but once again, that future was built on unstable foundations and quickly fell apart.
Now in LA, Adams is hoping to have a shot at winning a Super Bowl ring. The 32-year-old is entering his 12th season in the league and is quickly forming a bond with Nacua.

The connection between the two has been named as the biggest storyline of the Rams minicamp. Adams can teach Nacua so much about the position, adding to the experience he gained by playing alongside Kupp for his first two years as a pro.
The Rams Are All In on Stafford’s Last Dance
Earlier in the offseason, it seemed that Stafford might have been on his way out of LA. The 37-year-old was granted the opportunity to seek a trade, but the two sides eventually agreed on a restructured extension.
Stafford is now under contract with the Rams for two more seasons, and GM Les Snead has made it clear he wants to make the most of those years. Adams’ arrival indicates the franchise is hoping to make another Super Bowl push, and they’re expected to be one of the top landing spots for cornerback Jalen Ramsey, too.
When the Rams won Super Bowl LVI, they were aggressive in their pursuit. They added multiple veterans, including Ramsey, Von Miller, Odell Beckham Jr., and of course, Stafford himself.
They’ll now be looking to repeat that success in 2025, and might not be done adding playmakers just yet.
